Didn't think Peter was that great in civil war, hopefully he's better in this one.
Apples and oranges regarding the film styles, but my current rank would be as follows:

    Spider-Man 2
    Spider-Man: Homecoming
    The Amazing Spider-Man
    Spider-Man
    The Amazing Spider-Man 2
    Spider-Man 3

I don't think SM2 will ever be topped though. I'll give every SM film that chance, but when going back to it I am just re-reminded of its glory.

Peter becomes more of the focal narrative in this film, so I think seeing the world in his lens will get you to like him more, plus having Stark and Happy weigh him down at times gives him some depth in his emotional struggles. I do think the film was losing me until the "third act" began, and then I was brought right back in.

It's the funniest of the three, and the action served the story fine but it wasn't fantastic. The directing is about as generic as you get from most of these non-Russo MCU films as well. Supporting cast was awesome, and it definitely left me wanting more.

Yet still, Spider-Man 2 holds too special of a place in my heart. I don't think it was close to being topped.

Amazing Spiderman ahead of 1 and 3? Haven't seen any in years, so I'm not sure which of those I liked more, but I do know I liked James Franco as Harry.

The first Raimi film just feels too dated for me, which strangely SM2 doesn't at all (some dated CGI, but the action more than makes up for it). That's not its only issue, but I don't find it as upper-tier as most. I actually have trouble watching that one, even compared to Spider-Man 3.

Strangely, and I mentioned this when I wrote my impressions for this film, Spider-Man CGI hasn't actually improved that much. I actually think Spider-Man 3 is the most visually impressive of all of them.

          1. Spider-Man 2
          2. Spider-Man HC
          3. Amazing Spider-Man 2
          4. Spider-Man
          5. Amazing Spider-Man 1
          6. Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man 2 is still easily the best also one of my all time favorite movies does so many good/great things. HC was really good but action was lacking. Amazing Spider-Man 2 is really good so underrated its not even funny never been so confused in my whole life about hate a movie has gotten. Spider-Man solid movie but CGI as not aged well at all. Amazing Spider-Man bad costume and bad soundtrack but still a good movie over all. Spider-Man 3 by far the worst so many flaws. I like all the movies at least a little bit.

Best part of Spider-man 2 was Doc Ock. Ock is my favorite Spidey bad guy, and Molina was excellent in the role.

lol, FINALLY saw it. Wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be given how much things changed from the type of Spiderman universe we're used to on TV/Movies.

I thought that of just about any superhero movie there's been, this one had so many moments where it seemed like a comic book come to life on celluloid.
