I'm sure that some of the people that down voted honestly don't like it, but I also think that some of the votes are protest votes.

Protesting what? Re-make of the original? If any movie begged for a reboot it was this one. Not because the original stunk, but because of modern day graphics capabilities. Maybe they're protesting not toughing any of Creighton's original stuff?

Addendum: apparently not. This one (apparently feminist) reviewer's headline reads "Like So Many HBO Dramas, ‘Westworld’ is a Male Fantasy Billed as a Unisex Adventure". I read a bit but then you could tell she was going to get into light potential spoilers.

If anyone is interested the original Westworld is airing Saturday night at 11pm on the SYFY channel. I just DVR'd it so I can watch it when I get back from vacation on Monday.

I have no idea how this is ONLY an 87 and 81 on RT. Especially the audience rating it lower than the reviewers.

Can never tell with the audience. Season 4 of The Americans did a 99%-90%-trying to figure out how 10% of viewers didn't rate it at least a 3.5 out of 5.

I wonder if the pro reviewers got more than a one episode sample?

It was a 7-8 out of 10 for me. After 13 hours of Luke Cage I need some time for my mind to switch tracks and really enjoy a SciFi show, if that makes any sense.

Looks amazing though, and the more I think about it in hindsight the more I liked what I saw.

Re-watched this with the wife and a couple of things occurred to me/I noticed more:

• *Delores confused when the little boy mentioned about her not being real
• *Teddy (Delores' boyfriend) "recording" The Man in Black taking Delores into the barn
• *Bernard (main programmer) whispering into Delores' father's ear just prior to decommissioning him.

And what is the reason for keeping all of the decommissioned hosts around?

Also, Stubbs (main security guy) is another Hemsworth brother.

My one big prediction:
