Or maybe you're saying it confirms it?
Not saying the below does, but it's getting really hard to say multiple time periods is not a real thing. Let's not ignore Dolores herself commenting, "what time are we?" Like seriously. Wouldn't we all like to know?

Re: Westworld (HBO)
I think if you consider a massacre occurred there 30+ years ago when the hosts were learning to dance without looking like C3PO, then that area could be shut down a few years later when William and Dolores visit the place.
Ford visiting could be at anytime. It could be a few days prior to William and Dolores, or it could be 30 years later.
I think something like the host that introduced William to the park also being a Wyatt henchman that MiB recognizes and notes, "I thought Ford would have retired you by now" is very telling. That's a major reveal in my opinion."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Westworld (HBO)
I don't think that proves anything. Could be that the church has been burned down multiple times over the past 30 years.
I think the fact that the MiB used the same quote that William used from Ep 7 proves that there are multiple time lines at work here. That sealed the fact that the MiB=William.
I think the only thing left to discover is how many different threads of time are at play here.Comment

You may be right, that was just my initial reaction to it. I didn't even notice that that was the girl who greeted William before entering the park.I think if you consider a massacre occurred there 30+ years ago when the hosts were learning to dance without looking like C3PO, then that area could be shut down a few years later when William and Dolores visit the place.

Re: Westworld (HBO)
To be fair, if the MiB has been coming to the park for years, he could have simply recognized her from a previous stay.
It probably doesn't confirm anything. Whatever it is, they've done a good job confusing us."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. THIS!!!!!!!! Holy moly, I was asking myself, how does he know her. That right there, i feel seals the time line theory as well as William being the MIB. (Everything they've shown us has been very intentional)
Still there are things that sort of confuse me, Delores right now makes no sense!!! She's all over the spectrum, but her scene also confirms the issue on timelines. She seems to be re-living a bunch of different times. Another thing that bothers me is, the "story line." Are we to believe, Ford hasn't changed the story line in 30 years!!!? And that with Wyatt he's finally adding a villain, took 30 years to do so!!!? Really?
And my goodness, as much as I love Thandie Newton, I hate her character!!!!! Or more so, the Asian guy whose helping her. WTF dude, why are you helping a robot who can at any moment flip on a dial? He's so stupid it makes me ANGRY. What does he think will come from helping a host get free!!!(?).
This ep, even though interesting, wasn't too revealing, with 2 eps left, i hope we get more reveals before the season ends. I don't think they'll wrap up all the story lines this season, but I hope some core ones are at least tackled since we're gonna have to wait until 2018 for season 2.Last edited by marshallfever; 11-21-2016, 10:16 PM.Comment

Re: Westworld (HBO)
I do agree that the lab scenes are a bit off. There's got to be something else there that will explain things because while I do think there's something to the one guy feeling bad for Maeve and wanting her to accomplish something, I don't know if the scenes truly grasped that.
It's either the fault of the pacing, writing or performance. I get that he's conflicted but I don't get why exactly. Maybe if there was more backstory to that butcher. Something that really told us why he'd be interested in helping Maeve accomplish her goal. All we got was him reviving a bird. I don't know if that hit hard enough."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Westworld (HBO)
SpoilerMy only theory for the show is that Wyatt is Arnold. There's been very little information about Wyatt other that the massacre. Which is also about the time Arnold "killed himself". The only picture we know of Arnold is from hosts "memories". And Wyatt's MO is mutilating victims, but what if he's taking parts for hosts he's building? The Union camp was a good example of this. Lots of soldiers, some missing a handl, an arm, a leg, an eye. It was all pretty random but also specific in that they were all missing something. I'm probably off base, but that's my guess!
It would also explain Ford's interest in Wyatt. He claims it's for a new narrative, but maybe it's an "old" narrative.
