See I don't agree with those assumptions.

Pushing Bran-Saving himself and his lover from having their heads on spikes (selfish reasons)

Attacking Edward-Hard to pin this on Tywin when to that point Tywin wasn't even on TV yet. It was more a personal pride thing especially after his and Eddards talk in the thrown room about his "pretty armor".

I think we have a different view on plenty of good before his growth. In season one he was an arrogant prick. Season two he was a prison that was still **** talking Cat, killing his cousin to escape. But nothing wrong with us interpreting it differently.

Heres something ive been thinking about and dont really have an answer to.

what is the significance of "the three eyed raven"

Bran is now the official 3 eyed raven of westeros, taking over for the guy who lived in that tree forever, but what exactly do they do? I get that they touch the trees and see the past, but beyond that what impact do they make?

Moving forward, what is Brans role besides showing us how things played out before the show/books started.

I mean explaining the lore, and solving mysteries, etc is great from a fan standpoint. we all wanted to know who Jons parents were officially, and Bran satisfied that, but in terms of his Job in the upcoming wars what is it? what can he do/contribute?

Bran affected Hodor and I know it's only assumption that he could have affected the Mad King.

Plus Bran is a warg, though outside of the Hodor incident the show has done very little since season 4? to show that.

I think someone who can see the past and future while also being able to warg, might be influential in a war.

But if I had to speculate, I would assume Bran is mostly an info dump for a central character. Possibly Sam learns something he cannot understand and Bran helps fill in the blanks. He won't use a sword but he will aid their understanding of the white walkers.

Here is the interesting thing regarding Bran, and become a time travel thing which is always painfully complex. People always assumed that in the past when Bran saw the three eyed raven, or anyone saw it, it was the tree seerer. However, with Bran now becoming the three eyed raven, and with the ability to see into the past, he theoretically could have been the three eyed Raven that the younger Bran saw, guiding him to something he needs to know.

Cataline Stark really heightened the tensions between the Starks and Lanista's with her ill advised capture of Tyrion.

I'm starting to see a different point of view of the Lanistas rewatching this.

Of course Joffrey and Cersei were and are evil.

Well, of course to protect her children, and she was certain a Lanista tryed to kill Bran, which she was correct. But it wasn't Tyrion.

And of course there was the time, when she disobeyed Rob's orders. And her misguided hatred for john, which she later realized she was wrong on.

It's just interesting looking back, of course had Ned not been so damn honorable, he would still have his head.

                      Game of Thrones: Season 6

Stark's were always too by the book to ever get what they wanted. Meanwhile the Lannisters are ruthless as they go for the jugular to get what they want.

Cat had multiple chances to get revenge on the Lannisters but her honor in the end let them escape her wrath.

Oddly enough, Sansa and Arya are showing the resolve to throw that honor stuff in the garbage to get what they want. Jon is still too Eddard-ish right now; even after his betrayal by the nights watch. He's not keen enough to spot another betrayal coming. Good thing Sansa is by his side right now (maybe).

Hell Robb had shown a taste for throwing honor in the garbage for his own desires, but he got his head and Winterfell usurped because of it *sadface*

Meanwhile Rickon was killed simply for existing. *double sadface* lol

Yea, I agree Ned went by the book completely. I always loved that about Arya. She knew who she was. She didn't want any of that highborne nonsense.

Love that they actually had a plan for Arya's storyline, as well as that mess that was Dorne finally showing some purpose besides that smoking hot sandsnake's lady bags gives me hope that we may yet see Gendry again. Dude has been rowing forever.

Rewatching the last two episodes and I can't say enough how great the soundtrack was. Especially the beginning of the last episode, masterpiece.
