Which streaming service is carrying the 1990 original mini series?

I'm going to re-watch it, but I don't want to watch a bad quality version of it.

You can rent it in HD on Amazon for $3.99.

I haven't been this excited for a horror movie in a long time. Outside of The Conjuring, I can't even think of one. Looks so good and I'm so glad for that. Been nervous about this for years as it's been stuck in development.
These days I'm less like "Jailhouse Rock" Elvis and more like "dying alone on the toilet" Elvis.

I never read the book, but it looks like they nailed the Stephen King vibe. Looks creepy as hell.

I've never read the book or seen the original. Always known of the film just never got around to seeing it. Will probably watch the original sometime after I see the new film. Want to go in not knowing much of anything to keep it fresh.

Read the book (it is a huge long read), have seen and own the original made for TV mini-series which is dated but quite good as Tim Curry nails Pennywise.

John Ritter was great too (RIP).

A good adaption. I am really looking forward to this updated version.

So is this going to be two parts or just one? I remember the rumor it was going to be two films, but everything seems to point to one film now.

Two, if the first one does well. This one is about the Children storyline. Part2 will be the adults come back storyline.

                    Re: Stephen King's "It" (2017)

                    Reading the book right now.
I'm a fan of Stephen King's books and I'm not sure why I skipped on "IT", previously.
I'm not a fast reader so I usually avoid any book that's greater than 400 pages.
Saying that, I did read The Stand and loved it.

I'm about 100 pages in and I'm hooked.
Stephen King has got to be one of the best descriptive writers I've ever read.
His depth of characters and even describing something simple is incredible.
Needful Things was one of my favourite books and his description of how arthritis feels was incredible. Anytime I put on an oven mitt, I recall the protagonists pain.

I'm really excited for the movie and I hope I can complete the book before it gets in theatres.

"IT" is unarguably my favorite novel I've read. I'm currently on my third time through (about 3/4 of the way through or so), and each read seems to get better. If they can even remotely capture the atmosphere of the book in this movie, we'll be in for a treat. And so far, I'd say the trailers set the tone quite nicely. This is definitely the most excited I've been for a movie, although I am tempering my expectations as King's works are very hit or miss on the screen.

                        The trailers look amazing.
I'm really interested to see how they could make this a two-part movie.
Being in the early stages of the book, where the boys are grown, the trailers thus far are foreign to me as I only know them as men.

                        Off-topic:
As I've stated, I'm a huge fan of Stephen King. Salem's Lot might be one of my favourite books of all time.
However, I have to say, some of his slang is so corny it's laughable.
I know King is an older gentleman, but I wonder if they even used the same vernacular that he does 'way back then'.

P.S. Happy Memorial Day weekend to all American OS'ers out there!
