If this was true why the hell is Perk still around when he made ESPN look like idiots with his Jokic takes. But it got a **** load of views and went viral.

It's sad but ESPN is all about drama and reactions and our public loves to feed into it. Because the majority of people are dumbed down and prefer entertainment to good conversation and logic.

that one surprised me today lol, they had the Murray/Tsitsipas Wimbledon match on, I switched to ATH/PTI for an hour (these men's matches take so long an hour break is nothing), switch back and the match was suspended and now pickleball is on

It's weird that someone would be so desperate for an Emmy and also proud of it while knowing the bogus circumstances to get it. But there's people like that.

I love Stephen A. , he's this generations Howard Cosell, except he did play the game.
Can't stand Skip. Thank God Smith owns Bayless every time they square off.

I'm shocked that it lasted this long. I remember watching it literally every day back in my college years. That was .. something something years ago. A while.

Another podcast or hot take show with Stephen A. Smith, I'm sure.

It's for sure not Baseball Tonight.

Lol I discovered some posts by Jay Marriotti ripping the downward trend of the show. It was like half the truth and half sour grapes. But yeah, mad nostalgia for growing up in those early 2000s when everything wasn’t always at your fingertips.

I was trying to figure out what made a show like ATH or PTI, which are talking heads arguing over sports, different from the newer shows that I don’t care for. Maybe it was the novelty — as soon as EVERYTHING became talking heads arguing over sports, it was too much. I get why ATH would be expendable now. Maybe just growing up and these figures aren’t as cool as they seemed when you’re a kid.

The format was pretty cool with points and different segments, like a game show on a sports network. Excellent sports referential name too. Sounds like a reboot in 10 years.
