I like some of his takes when he’s not being a fan boy or anti-somebody.

I’m watching some of First Take but am doing a lot of fast forwarding. Yesterday I grimaced through Stephen A laying out his great journalistic career as he forced an analogy about Tomlin’s resume. He is genuinely boastful.

When isnt Skip Bayless being a fan boy or anti-somebody? If he's not pro Cowboys or anti Lebron, he wouldnt be Skip.

LOL, not a big disagreement here, but there are moments when he's not purposely polarizing.

Been watching the show lately and the pair is at least decent if not good. Beginning to like Bayless more.

Dan Orlovsky really needs to skip the caffeine.

                Irritating and annoying.

Pat Beverley's obnoxiousness makes Skip Bayless's obnoxiousness look nonexistent. Kendrick Perkins and him sparred yesterday. Beverly is EXTREMELY unlikable.

Beverley doesn't need to quit his day job anytime soon. if you're going to be obnoxious, you should at least be entertaining. Perkins ate Beverley up and spit him out with the greatest of ease. Beverley didn't even really talk long. he almost put me to sleep

                        Re: ESPN Cleaning House

Not sure I follow Stephen A's logic:

On the suspension of Ime Udoka SA takes issue with the consensual relationship being made public; Does he think if the Celtics announced that Udoka was suspended for one year that all of this wouldn't come out sooner than later? On one hand he holds the head coach accountable but on the other complains about Udoka's lost wages and pay increases as if the sole reason for the losses are a punitive response from the Celtics.

SA dismisses talk of Aaron Judge being the legitimate single season HR king if he gets to or gets over 61. His argument is that a steroid infused Barry Bonds still remains the king because the networks and journalists benefitted from chemically altered beefy players ramping up HR totals starting with the Mcgwire/Sosa race of '98. I'd like to know how higher TV ratings and potential journalist promotions expunge cheating.

Stephen A is hard to watch (as is Max) but his silliness is now running over into his opinions.

                          Re: ESPN Cleaning House

I'm sure it is Bonds bias, but I believe that Bonds is the home run king with no asterisk. I believe that McGwire was the home run king with no asterisk before that. Different eras have bred different results, period. There was a juiced player era, and this is a juiced ball era (less so than previous years, thankfully).

Judge has not even been walked 100 times this year. Tell me if he can generate the same output when he not only walks twice as much as that, but gets pitched as if they're trying to walk him twice as much all the same.

I don't know how valid Stephen A.'s argument is, but Bonds is the single-season and all-time home run king, period (this is my opinion of course).

Judge could be juicing too and just hasn't been caught yet.

Tell me if Bonds could generate anywhere near the same power pre-steroids.

Bonds is by far the better hitter then Judge at just about any point of their careers but he got greedy. The "era" argument would be sounder if steroids were allowed at that time. Anyway, the "homerun king" isn't in the Hall, so maybe that's enough punishment. If Rose couldn't make it by now he probably never will.

I have a friend that's pro-Bonds so I understand your sentiment. I just though Stephen A's argument was meritless.

Not even gonna listen to Screamin A on baseball or anyone on that set for that matter talking about it. They rarely talk baseball and they know nothing about it.
