Re: Black Panther (2018)
Good article. I imagine it's not that people don't want various heroes that are minorities or females, they just don't want to have their iconic figures tampered with. I don't wanna get into TOS violations here though. But, ironically, it's not a black and white matter.... so to speak.Comment

Re: Black Panther (2018)
Still #1 domestically, $65m weekend, beating Red Sparrow and Death Wish, which sound like they're be some kind of Super Villain team up or something.
Crosses $500m domestically, nearly $900m total.
A Wrinkle in Time next week, the king will be giving up his crown then I expect.

Black Panther (2018)
Just completed the trifecta tonight. Think I’ll go the 4peat and then wait til the Blu Ray drops, in which I’ll buy 2 copies and will probably never open them up.[emoji1478][emoji1478][emoji1478]
Spoiler
I’m convinced that there’s going to be a Civil War of some sorts in the next Black Panther
Still trying to find that dope *** Killmonger Hoodie too!Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 03-05-2018, 11:47 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Black Panther (2018)
My prewife just noticed that "Legend has it" and "BagBak" are not on the official soundtrack lol. So for months I had been playing a playlist called "Black Panther sounds". Those songs were in the trailer in a awesome mix with the sample of "this revolution will not be televised". Took me a while to piece it together. So I would add to the playlist every time something was released. She was really disappointed because those were her favorite songs lol
Legend has it

Bagbak (She loves the lyrics for this one)

Spoiler
We were kind of disappointed the soundtrack didn't make much of the movie (as we thought). As much as we thought it would of been. But after watching it a second time around this weekend. We could totally understand why it wasn't used much. Ludwig score is basically perfect. Especially when your trying to push an Africa Nation with this strong Africa culture. I love it now in hind sight.

But agree... I might go for a third one just cause.... And I've already pre ordered the Vinyl, Hoodie, T-Shirt and just about everything served to me.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Black Panther (2018)
24 days later (25 today) Black Panther crosses the billion dollar mark. Pushed over the mark yesterday in it's Chinese premiere with 22.7 million dollars and another 9.9 million here in the US. The current projections have the film sitting at $561 million domestically and $442 million internationally.Comment

Re: Black Panther (2018)
For someone who grew up on Marvel Comics during the 70s, finally seeing their characters being done right on the big screen is a dream come true.
One character Marvel needs to do is Sub-Mariner. Namor was always one of my favorites...he's one of the few that can go toe-to-toe with the Hulk.Comment

Re: Black Panther (2018)
This was exactly the phrase I used after seeing it this weekend when my wife asked me what I thought. I wouldn't say it was a bad movie per se, but outside of Chadwick Boseman's character there wasn't much I actually liked about it. I really don't see what the hype is for. To each their own though.Comment

Re: Black Panther (2018)
I don't know about you guys. But this movie was huge for me. As Haitian American... I can only remember a few black super heroes movies. I can see why some people could possible not like the plot of the movie. Yes, their are some holes. But what movies doesn't have. I was a huge comic book reader during my young days. And just seeing Black Panther on screen was really big. I had Meteor man and Blankman before that. Those were silly stories or more like parody of black super heroes. But this was a well thought out movie. With some serious characters. Was this The Dark Knight. Hell no.... There are people out there that actually wish Wakanka was a real place lol. This was exactly the phrase I used after seeing it this weekend when my wife asked me what I thought.
