Matt and Frannie embraced so long, it was like someone on production was like "ok that's enough"

Although I also wouldn't be opposed to just going until a tribe dies out. As much as I'm glad none of those 3 left, I wanted to see if they'd actually allow a tribe of 2 to continue or if they would've just had 1 go to each of the other two tribes

Recently rewatched S41 & S42 where the hourglass appears. It’s funny the different reaction to it: Rocksroy got voted out real quick after it but Erika was able to survive and ended up winning the whole thing, partially on the strength of that decision. I agree that I don’t want to see it again though. Winning immunity just to get to the merge and then having that taken out from under you felt a little too much of a twist.

Anyone coming back from a journey or exile needs to get voted out quickly. They always have some type of advantage and everyone wants to hold it for as long as they can. Keep ‘em comfortable off the bat and then axe ‘em. Made no sense why Yam-Yam and Sarah didn’t see Josh having some type of advantage coming. She didn’t even try to play the fake idol she had. Aren’t these all super fans these days? I appreciate what dehydration and starvation does to you across the board, but that just seemed like a total brain fart.

I do love when a tribe gets reduced to such small numbers. I assume at 2 they would probably move them to the other tribes. At least now there’s 3 tribes to start so if one gets cut down as severely they aren’t instantly doomed being the only one from a rival tribe when it was just 2 to start. Tribal lines seem less important then ever too.

I also want to see an immunity challenge with actual strategy in who plays.

Imagine having an immunity challenge where one tribe has 2 and the others have 5.

The other 2 tribes now have to choose which 2 of their 5 are playing. If they lose, then does the blame fall on the 2 who did play, even though the majority of your trine didn't compete?

Or if a tribe is down to one, can we see 1v1v1 battles going on? If you want that one person tribe to be gone, you have to beat them. And the same person can't be chosen as the one in back to back challenges.

I really hope Jamie goes out trying to play her fake idol. She is so cocky and has been absolutely wrong about everything.

I loved when Carolyn told everyone that Josh had nothing, and explained why, and no one cared because she's bonkers

The biggest possible twist for this season is if Carolyn gets to the end and suddenly isn't bonkers, her voice normalizes and she cruises through the final

Haha, yeah. No one takes her serious. She’s going to go pretty far if not to the final. She’s not even a bad player, she just gives off a vibe that she doesn’t know what she’s doing because she’s so aloof. She can totally spin it in her favor at the end. It will be a battle all season to get people to take her seriously though. Not totally unlike Maryanne from S42. Key will be if Carolyn can tie it all together at final tribal if it ends up that way like Maryanne did.

Her challenge performance has been crappy though. I don’t think people should get a pass for that. Might not be a tribe of 3 with a better performance from her.

Did anyone know that the caged idol was taken on Soka (Green)? Danny got it but I don’t remember if he put it back. I know he planted the fake for Matt to find. It just wouldn’t add up for Matt if he knew he had the idol, Josh was confirmed to have played one at his first tribal with purple, and then claimed to have a second. Where would he have gotten that if Matt thinks he’s got the idol from Soka?

I guess at the end of the day the vote went on Josh. I’ll have to watch again to see who put them on him. I liked Josh a lot but he got himself in totally unnecessary hot water with stupid lies.

I still don't get Frannies logic.

She's safe no matter what. If she drops, who cares, she's not going anywhere, Matt is automatically safe. Meanwhile her #1 in Matt already dropped, so she knows worst case is Matt is going to tribal and not safe.

So why didn't she drop?! She's not even aligned with some (or all) the people on her team. And you can clearly see who is on the other side, it's 3v2 or 3v1v1, either way, Matt's not in the 3.

Two realistic scenarios: She didn't think about it and was caught up in the moment. Or she said screw it and wanted the big individual W.

The twist was stupid anyways. Heck for all we know the producers hyped up the showmance more than it was because of this moment.

She was probably caught up in the moment, but still seems crazy to think something as obvious as that wasn't thought about.

And sounds like they did go out (maybe still are?) after the show.

It was a stupid twist though. Too many times we see twists for the sake of twists.

And on the note of bad moves, Heidi completely screwed up that advantage too. You have your entire group telling you to use that advantage to help Matt/Yam Yam because by you making Lauren vote Jaime, that gives Matt and Yam Yam a major hint as to who to vote for to really help save themselves because now you know for a fact that unless someone plays an idol, Jaime would go home since she doesn't have her shot in the dark either.

So Heidi gets someone out that she's not even aligned with, while making a group of people now trust her.

Instead she just did it to try and get Yam Yam out, fail, now that group of people know they can't trust you AND Yam Yam as well is now joining in on that knowing publically that you wanted him out.

Reminds me of when I was watching it.

                          I'm like "Who's Heidi? I don't even remember her."

And the second she says she can use it to save Matt I'm like "I like Heidi!"

Just for her to not do anything like that and instead vote for Yam Yam..

I never realized how many contestants have died already.

So many prematurely too. I think Rudy, Dan and BB are the only older players (I'd classify older as players over 70) to pass away

We only had 4 deaths in Survivor up to 2018.

                                Since 2019 we've had 10 more, 5 in the last 12 months!

Keith and Rudy are the only ones to pass away who have played multiple seasons.
