What?! She’s a beast. She has been one of my top picks to go all the way, smart and competitive. Speaking of which, I think she played the control the vote advantage well. It was going to be a tough play, a lot of implications no matter what. I think she gave herself plausible deniability by putting the vote on Yam-Yam but secretly hoping (successfully) that they would still vote Matt out due to his relationship with Frannie. She can salvage Soka ties, eliminate Matt in front of Frannie somehow, and keep peace with Ratu & Jamie’s split ties since she didn’t put the vote on one of them.

Rest of the way should be individual. Really not sure of a pecking order right now, seems very split down tribal lines. Yam-Yam and Carolyn will be key swing votes for the next few tribals I’m sure.

Did I understand Heidi's explanation properly?

She made Lauren vote Yam Yam because she knew the alliance of 3 would want Matt out, so she tried splitting the vote.....

Um, maybe next time if you want to try saving them, make Lauren vote for Jaime which tips off Matt and Yam Yam to vote for her.. wasn't that the plan the rest of that winning team wanted to do?

The vote would then be 3 for Jaime, 2 for Matt, and Lauren would be forced to use her extra vote for Matt to get the votes back to 3-3.

Although I'm not sure what happens here. In the re vote, does Lauren still have the extra vote, does Heidi control the revote?

        Survivor 44

That’s what I mean. The scenario was so murky that everyone voting needed to be on the same page, and there was a good chance they wouldn’t be. Plus advantages and idols and who knows what else.

Tonight’s episode was a serious line in the sand. Soka 3 + Carolyn vs everyone else. I don’t know what happened with Carson. He tipped off Danny about Ratu knowing the idol would be played on Frannie… then voted for Frannie? Trying to flush the idol Danny had but Danny saw it coming? Carson is gonna play himself out of this game like Josh did if that was the switch up. Doing too much.

Sure enough, remaining 3 from Tika were crucial swing votes, they just got played or played themselves, whatever is revealed to have happened. Carolyn continues to be on the right side of the vote…

Soka 3’s game to lose now because I think Jaime, Lauren and Kane splinter without Brandon. Danny, Heidi and Frannie all will be able to stake their claim to the title. They have to get Lauren out ASAP with that second vote though. The idol hunt will be fierce this next episode.

Yam Yam with some Leo level acting. I did not want Danny to go, but I'm always for chaos and wouldn't have been mad if they switched the vote.

Looking like Kane might end up like an Owen from last year. Constantly having his name out there as like a default vote, but never a real threat enough to warrant actually voting him out. No one really seems to like him. Sounds like a recipe for a top 3 finish.

this was an all time "dangerous game" move for Danny, not only did he risk embarrassing himself forever with his challenge fart (I would not have the confidence to do that lol), but also using the idol on Frannie even after being tipped off, that could've gone south either way

My guess is Carson gets a lot of votes and might go tonight… IF he really double (triple? Quadruple?) crossed Danny. But I have a feeling there will be a reveal tonight. So Lauren is my other pick because I know they want her extra vote out. She may have to use it tonight.

                    Re: Survivor 44

Soka tribe domination. Danny, Frannie and Heidi continue to make their case as the front runners.

I guess Kane had to be the pick because Yam-Yam was set on voting for him, which gave Soka the numbers advantage they needed. I did not see Kane as a master strategist. He was off the mark on most votes, lol.

Lauren’s extra vote continues to hang around. Someone will regret it. I can see a few people banding with her to use it and get one of the Soka 3 out. Then we’ll see if Soka reads it and uses Heidi’s idol for whoever needs it to block it.

Suddenly Tika may have real power now that Ratu is the least represented. Be interesting to see if Ratu & Soka team up on one of Tika. I don’t think Frannie was off the mark when she said to get one of those in the middle out, but Danny was right that it’s not the time yet. But time came real quick. All this time I thought Danny was the brawn and Frannie was the brains, but it may be opposite after the last challenge!

Kane? Ehhhh ok. I thought he would be 3rd left and get no votes. I am rooting for Danny, but that was a dumb move. Frannie is the favorite to win right now.

Did Lauren's vote not get played by Jamie last night? Also, too bad her idol walked off. I do not like her and really wanted her to get bamboozled with it. At the same time I am fine with them all being out of play because it was just too much.

Hasn't every fake idol been voted out without people realizing it? Not just this season, but even recent ones too.

At this point if Carolyn and Yam Yam aren't 2 of the final 3, this season and editing would be disappointing.

I see those 2 and someone like Frannie or Danny in f3.

Depending on how much the Soka 3 cannibalize each other, I could see it being one of the Soka 3 with Carolyn and Jaime. Would be a slam dunk for whoever survived from Soka. Jaime is seeming more and more like a person who thinks they got themselves this far, when really the others have just allowed her to stick around. Carolyn is obviously weak in challenges and seen as a wild card in votes. The former is definitely true but I think she deserves more credit for her strategic gameplay. It wasn’t JUST her keeping herself alive, but she wasn’t just throwing random votes out there herself. She organized with others who were willing a few times. She has a chance to make a statement in the few remaining episodes. She could pull some votes but not sure if it would be enough.

Ideally, I prefer to see two strong finalists. Don’t think the third will ever really have much of a say, can’t remember a season that was equally strong across the final 3. So I hope 2 of Danny/Heidi/Frannie make it to the final. Honestly, all three but I’m trying to be realistic.

That's what I hate about the F3 format, but it also makes sense.

F3 format is always 1 person who is the fave, 1 who has a shot at winning, and the other who is just there.

But then the F2 would just have a fave and person who is there because the fave took them.

And I feel like fans would go crazy if there's ever a F2 where there's a F3 firemaking challenge. Although that would be interesting to see.

You have a shot to have both finalists being top contenders, or someone who wins immunity and is guaranteed to win the game against 1 of the 2 other final 3 players decides to make fire against the one person they can't beat, so you'll either lose and finish first, or win and basically have a million dollar (600k after taxes) fire.

I really thought Frannie was gonna win this game the way the edit has been focusing on her like crazy. That was a big surprise for sure.

Anyone else noticing the way they keep hinting at Carson and fire? They've had a couple scenes where it's literally just him looking into a big fire. Makes me think they're foreshadowing him either in the firemaking challenge/winning it, or being the one to decide who makes fire.

Not many contenders left for a strong winner, surely there's no way a Jaime, Lauren or Heidi are winning right?
