A lot of people feel like Elvis stole R&B from the originators...but he was actually a very good singer.

Obviously he was a good singer, but he did "steal" his songs and musical style. Very few of his songs were original.

Very few of the songs back then were original. I understand that Elvis takes away a lot of credit (though that seems to be changing direction within the past 5-10 years), but he is not the only one (even in that period) to use other artists' styles and techniques for himself and his music.
