This slide shows the ps3 has twice the floating point calculation whatever that is.
What exactly does that mean? How fast it processes or something? I'm serioulsly illiterate when it comes to that stuff. See PS3 is looking better, but is that compared to only one processor or all three??

By the way, the LOAD OF GAMES Sony has is so garbage. Honestly, they're lacking so many interesting games IMO. Not really feeling any of them. i'm sure the sports will do their thing among other things, but Sony is looking quite weak. Guess they waited to long to excite and since MS came out, it just burned Sony. I wonder which will be more received in Asia.

LMAO, too bad from what I've seen so far it doesn't make the games look any better. But at least they have nice charts!

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

                    Re: Official E3 Discussion Thread

That MS press conference was pretty brutal. I have to hand it to Sony- at least to this point they're just putting up the games and letting them speak for the power of the system. I know that MS wants to sell the notion that they are going to have a much more developed, fully integrated online setup, all of which I expect is true, but it makes for a weak press conference.

From what I've seen so far, the graphics on the PS3 have been truly impressive. But I'm not going to lose my head over Killzone 2 when the first game was terrible. I'm not interested in any of Sony's major franchises, all of which reek of staleness. (At some point you're just playing an old game in new clothes.) Sony has my attention, but they're going to need to show me more.

Not sure where this should go, because it is a question for both the PS3 and Xbox 360...

Are the pics/videos that are being shown for all the next gen software being shown via a HDTV? Graphics on a HDTV will differ from those found on a regular TV. I'm sure the graphics will be great either way, but I'm concerned that a consumer without a HDTV will be expecting something they will not be getting.

No Revolution in action, no controller, and Nintendo got booed at their press conference.

Revolution is a virtual console capable of downloading 20 years of Nintendo content.

I probably am in the minority, but I really like the Mario style games. Mario and Luigi 2 and the new Super Mario looks like great fun, but they are both for the DS which I don't have and don't want to have to buy. Probably will end up getting it though because I thought the first Mario and Luigi for GBA was great, and all Super Mario games are fun IMO.
