Why does G4TV hate Xbox so much?

Man, can they make it anymore obvious? I'm watching yesterdays 2 hour E3 show and Morgan Webb is non-stop with the Xbox insults. Its pretty annoying and the more she talks the more I want to strangle her.

A few of the things she said were

" Why would I want to get an Xbox360 when I have an Xbox already" What the hell is she talking about???

"There aren't any Xbox360 games that look that much better then regular Xbox games" WHAT!?!


Does she have something personal against Bill Gates or is she instructed to insult Microsoft from the higher ups on G4, because it really looks like she's going out of her way to insult the Xbox console, the 360 press conference and she even made fun of what the guy was wearing during the conference (I did too, but I'm not on TV doing it).

Meh...some ppl are just blantant fanboys of one system over another. One of my good friends despises the XBOX because he does'nt like the controller. He finds it hard to adjust from the PS2 controller. Now if that is'nt a sorry excuse to not like a entire gaming console, I dont know what is.

I feel the same way . It was so obvious. She said she is looking for a big leap this gen . Then when one of the other guys said the games were running on alpha ,she jumped all over him.

I thought you guys were exaggerrating (sp?) too, until the show came on late last night.

I can honestly say there was one sensible guy there. The guy on the far right kept saying things like "in my heart of hearts I believe the killzone demo was a render" and things we know for sure..

but each time he made a sensible statement, they would hammer him.

the guy next to him (the chubby one) seemed like he wanted to agree with him, but when he opened his mouth, they just talked over him.

The Morgan chick said the games they showed didnt look like anything more than xbox games. All they showed was The Elder Scrolls , GR3 and of course she ignored the game I forget (where there is a war for the survival for human kind) great looking game...

Then there is the guy on the far left. This guy was like a real console fanboy. He wouldnt let anyone talk, he went on and on about Sony , kept cutting the chubby guy off, couldnt make real comebacks on the guy on the far right, so he's just start talking really fast without taking breaths in between what he was saying, waving his arms around. It was pitiful.

I think people here pretty much have a better idea about the systems than they do.

Its amazing to me that they have so much access to the industry and still dont know a thing. All they kept talking about was Sony's power and how xbox didnt look that good.. and how killzone was a "Halo Killer"

The guy on the far right would explain why he thought killzone was a render and the guy on the far left would talk over him... it was pathetic

I turned it off and honestly can say you guys were right

Yeah, they pretty much beat up on XBox360 like a redheaded stepchild.. They all sounded like whiny bitches.

I'm an xbox fan, and personally hope this system rises above the rest for this next gen, and many more to come.

But what she was saying wasn't exactly far from the truth. I was watching th Dead Or Alive 4 video clip and I honestly thought it looked slightly better than DOA3, not enough of a difference to warrant purchasing a new console over.

The PGR3 video couldn't have possibly been real time footage.

It seems like Microsoft is willing to sacrifice alot of eye candy just so they can come out first and try to close the gap between themselves and sony.

wel tech tv used to be owned by Microsoft, and then were bought out by G4 so who knows.... Yes I think they were unfair to Microsoft but I wouldn't call Adam a fanboy by a long stretch... in fact I think the system he pimped the most was the new Nintendo one.

And there is NO WAY that Killzone video-clip was IN-GAME. If it is, it will sell a lot of PS3`s. But a Halo killer? Probably not. Even with GREAT graphics, KillZone still has to have great gameplay

They certainly seemed to ride Microsoft a bit hard - but I can't say that I neccesarily disagreed with them.

When you consider that the PS2 life cycle will turn out to be something like seven years when all is said and done, and we see games like GoW coming out a couple of months ago, I can understand why people will look @ DOA 4, Quake 4, CoD 2, Elder Scrolls and not be terribly inspired. There doesn't really seem to be that mind blowing leap that would induce a need for a new console to be produced. Now that is not to say that PS3 will be a mind blowing leap, as we all know Sony has stretched the truth in the past, but PS3 is far enough off where people can fathom that Killzone could end up being close to that pre-rendered vid.

Also what year did the first Xbox come out? Was it four years ago? It seems like a short cycle to me - and I'm not really seeing a huge incentive to buy a new console from Microsoft this Fall, although I will reserve judgement when we see some more gameplay footage.

Edit: Additionally I do think that they hit the nail on the head when it came to Microsoft's rather obtuse direction for the 360. I'm really not sure where the hell they are going with the casual gamer/services end of things (although it may work).

Before anyone starts in I own an Xbox and a PS2 (I also purchased the PS2 after the Xbox) and I don't swear any allegiance to a company.

No, good journalists should be biased- by the facts. If the commentators have come to the conclusion that the PS3 is more impressive than the Xbox 360 based on what they are seeing on the floor and not on any pre-held bias, I don't have a problem with it.

I disagree... They didn`t say one positive thing about the 360! NOT ONE!! I could name atleast 4 good things about the 360 and I still found the PS3 to be more impressive! These people are Sony a$$kissers.. plain and simple.

A journalist simply reports and lets the public decide. The people at G4 don`t do this!

I'm not watching G4 so I'm not in a position to comment. I'm just saying that it's not outside of the realm of possibility that they were genuinely underwhelmed by what they saw from the Xbox 360.
