They should have you on G4.........your bias can balance out their "bias".

As other posters have said...get over it. These aren't "journalists", this is videogames were talking about here. E3 is an event that is meant to "wow", the gaming press, and if these people weren't wowed, or if sony has been in it longer, or the XBox isn't running good dev kits, that doesn't matter. They are simply giving off their impressions, which is what they were hired to do.

What are they supposed to say:

Morgan: I wasn't that impressed with Microsoft's game X....but remember folks, the XBox dev kits are blah blah blah blah....."

Give me a break. If sony put out better dev kits, or pre-rendered videos, it was a shrewd move, and kudos to Sony for making sure their console gave better impressions and better "hype", which is what E3 is supposed to do.

Funny that the XBox supporters cry "bias!", when you know you wouldn't be cutting Sony any slack if the tables were turned....

And how am I bias? I have no problem with anybody playing games on the pc and I don't hate the pc. The fact is, by christmas the pc will not have anything better than the ps3 or the xbox 360.

I have been a big Xbox supporter since the beginning (Although I own a PS2 and had a gamecube as well).

I must say that the Sony Press conference was much better and focused more on games than chatting with my new internet friends online. Microsoft is trying to get the non-gamer into the XBox. I hope for their sake it works. For me, I am a gamer, I like playing games online, but I am not looking to make friends online.

On the flip side though, if the rumors are true, I do not think the PS3 is worth $200 more than the XBox 360. All the games on both systems will look great and play the same (hopefully the gameplay is great also).

A system can have all the power in the world, but if the developers don't use it, it won't matter. See Xbox 1!.

Hardcore gamers buy PC's and none of the mainstreet crap like Halo when we have better FPS on PC COUGH HALF-LIFE 2 COUGH! As of now my graphics card is already more superior then both systems (6800 Ultra) and by christmas next gen PC games will own both systems in terms of graphics... My key is going to get the most powerful system and according to this link http://ps3.ign.com/articles/614/614783p1.html the PS3 is certainly going to be better technically.

I own a PC too but PC`s are still a pain in the a$s to deal with! I`d much rather see a GREAT console that can do everything a PC can do without all the headaches! PC`s are just not user friendly.

But yeah... I would rather play HL2 on PC than console. When it comes to FPS games, PC`s still rule but only because of the keyboard and mouse, not necessarily graphics. KB & M is still a better way to play FPS games.

and no... Your PC chip is still behind the PS3 and 360.

i actually agreed with most of what the "round table" on G4 had to say. MS hyped up a great console, and in their speech said it was the most powerful next gen system, and they showed good footage, but in comparison to PS3, XBox was more talk than actual show. I'm a huge Xbox fan, but like them, i was expecting so much more after they spent a year trying to market the thing.

But I could say the SAME thing about the Sony press conference. All they did was talk about how powerfull the PS3`s cell chip is and show us a few ducks swimming around in a bath tub.

I think they went different routes... MS told us everything the 360 can do while SONY told us how great the graphics will be. Take your pick on which system to buy but keep in mind it doesn`t matter how powerful your machine is, it doesn`t make any difference if Devz don`t tap into it.

But as I allready stated... when it comes to games I think Sony won but they were showing us RENDERS. They`re supposed to win when they show nothing but renders.

Everybody is biased, and that's fine. What's funny is when biased people deny their own bias, yet shout it at others(and let's be real, your posts make you seem like an XBox apologist, dismissive of Sony, and spiteful of Nintendo.). I have my own biases as well.

But c'mon, every time someone posts some thoughts that point to less than gushing enthrallment about this new XBox, you pipe in with this, "dev kit, less than full power, etc." stuff. Despite the question of its factual validity, that has nothing to do with how people on this board should feel about it, or how the commentators on G4 should comment on it.

The REAL fact is this: Microsoft put what it believed to be its best foot forward at E3, and Sony did the same. Based on the what the companies have presented, Sony seems to be winning over more people. If you needed to come out earlier, or integrate online more heavily, or focus your press conference or gaming footage around certain things, or caveat x,y,z causes you not to look as good at this point in time, then TOO BAD Microsoft, them's the breaks.

Sony is having a better showing(and its not just G4 that's saying it) for a variety of reasons, many of which have been already discussed, and that just points to good company planning.

They have different steaks(the specs, power, etc), but Sony appears to be selling the "sizzle" better. Just because people are pointing that out doesn't make them biased, and even if it did, so what?

I was talking about in terms of the pc. I am biased against sony's game consoles because they have lied in the past and the consoles have been too fragile for my tastes. I'm still interested in what the ps3 has to offer but I am not quick to believe what sony says since they haven't told the whole truth about their consoles. And as far as the revolution goes, that was just a lot of baseless hype. Like I said before, it's not as revolutionary as they made it out to be and I'm sick of the rehashing of old franchises.

The only time I've said that is when people say that the games for the 360 looked like current xbox games.

Well, I didn't know you held G4 to the same standards as a network news channel, and 20-30somthing gamers to the journalistic integrity standards of, say, a White House correspondent.

To me, G4 positions its E3 coverage(and its whole channel) as something like "gamers, just like you and me, bringing you news and opinion". And that's exactly how it came off. Roundtable discussions are for opinion/discussion. Would you prefer they just read off system spec sheets? OR, just like when we make threads for new sports games around here, that they give their "impressions"(and yes, sometimes sarcastic quips are a part of that opinion, like a crack about 989 Sports or Nintendo and the "kiddy-ness" you always claim). G4 is there to entertain, as well as inform.
