So since Sony showed what is said to be "cut-scenes" that look amazing, that means in-game graphics are gonna be inferior to Xbox360?

Sony played it smart, showed insane graphics to impress people. They could've shown in-game footage, but they want to look superior. I can't tell you how their in-game footage would look, but if they wanted to set themselves apart from 360, then they'd stick with the "cut-scenes" that yall saw.

I think they played it smart.

EDIT: Again, I can't tell you what system is better. I am waiting to see some hands on previews on gamespot.com in November before I decide what I like more.

No, what it means is that they haven't shown anything real. Nobody can say anything about the graphics because sony didn't show any actual graphics, they showed renders which can be made on any system.

I have been trying to explain not everything you saw was a CGI/FMVrender

You witnessed for the most part target videos and ingame Gfx sequences NOT REALTIME BUT INGAME

Things like the tekken trailer i dont know

Regardless, that's a long, long way from true game footage.
When it's designed, edited and assembled, not as any real part of a game - but simply for this feature, that's a bit misleading.

I find it amusing watching how much Sony and its devs are backtracking since E3:
"So in all fairness its not quite as black and white as either real-time or CGI..."
The Killzone "demo" is another example.

They achieved their goal - they dazzled the people who don't have a clue what they're really looking at.

However, this is a new animal entirely - and now they're trying to address the people who do understand that they were simply fed corporate BS at E3... and they're not having as much luck.

shawn doesn't seem upset. All he's saying is, SHOW ME! Show me some in-game footage. Microsoft obviously had the balls to show not even half-finished *** games, Sony should have grabbed their balls and did the same thing. Bottom line, sony accomplished what it set out to do. Question is, have you been around long enough to be able to see through the B.S.

Gosh Darnit, if there was one thing I wish this forum would quit doing is trying to make those who like Sony feel like idiots. It's all if you like Sony then you fell for the hype your just a pond. It's the same bull**** people used with ESPN if you liked Madden, if you don't agree with the masses here then you are either uneducated or have no taste. It has been that way for 3 years now here. Grow up, accept others opinions and just because someone has a opinion that differs from you doesn't mean you have to come back and shove your opinion right back down his throat. ****! Take a sip of this. Sony LIED and ya'll are still sticking up for them speaking of truth that we have yet to see. That's what "we" are trying to put on ya'll. The media has a hold of so many minds that they dictate what ya'll want to hear. The Sony camp came prepared to fool the masses with their little movies and things. Ironically, so many people in proper places backed them up (G4 & IGN to be a few). The mindset from me at least is that I'm not satisfied with the lack of .....ANYTHING that Sony has shown. They're all pieces of garbage that I'm still waiting to hear about. Honestly, I'm still waiting to see what their online is about. Do you know? DOES ANYONE KNOW?? Only Sony knows and they're not telling. Bet it's because they're still working on it of course. Hopefully they do bring their skill and proper mindset to the table. I'm just disappointed that so many fell for it. Not the first time either. America voted Bush in twice into.....that's a whole different discussion. Excuse my thoughts. Tripping a little.

Don't even bring politics into this discussion. Bush is the right man for the job and America agrees with me. You could argue with me but then the thread would become political and that usually gets a closed thread so don't. Why must you give a **** what I think about Sony, all everyone does is pile on, why don't you give Sony time because I know you damn well will give Microsoft all the time it needs to get its **** straight. I've already got my 360 lined up for opening night but you don't see me in threads bashing PS3 because its the cool thing to do, no I would rather give Sony the benefit of the doubt and yes I was around for the PS2 launch but I'm still giving Sony the benefit of the doubt because unlike most here I would rather see things in a positive light. These XBOX elitest on these forums need to gain some perspective and not hijak every damn thread making it about how bad PS3 will be.

I don't care what you think honestly about the company. I care how you think out loud defending a company that has no track record for living up to their end of the bargain. Honestly, we're piling on cause they didn't even bring the car. They bought freaking pictures. Who the hell brings pictures to a car show? NOBODY!! Thing is, Microsoft showed us some of their hood, did some spins and even gave us a little smell of the car (or so a few people say), yet they get outdown by a phantom. You have to stand her and tell me you see that.

I seriously thought Sony was going to step it up and I liked them. I even felt that the little hype that Sony had with those signs near the E3 convention was the beginning a war that would keep me mesmerized by both companies. Only one company showed up to entertain.....with true honestly and customer interest in mind. Wasn't the foreign console either. Not racist but those guys over there are just geniuses. Almost similar to what I see in the playoffs right now. Suns = Sony while Spurs = Microsoft IMO. Suns still getting that praise but came up short to me. I don't see it. I'm still looking but I don't see it. I'm going to bash if I don't see it. Show Me The MONEY
