hope you have fun...i've seen the shortcomings, but personally didn't find anything "impossible" hard, just hard enough to make it worthwhile...guess it's just not a game that'll work for you

No adult I know wears a digital watch, bro...unless they're jogging. As it's been said, grown folks wear watches with hands.

I can see what your talking about about having the game watch be digital for the younger crowd, but if an adult can't read time than they should learn how to read hands on a watch.

What flaw are you talking about that you exploited since you couldn't beat Carlito the second time around?

goh, do you like this game at all or are you hating it?

I've never worn an analog watch. I haven't worn any watch since about 1997. There's an ad for a digital watch on one of the signs.

Exploiting the horrible save system and leveling up super easy but it only works good untill level 25 apprently.

I like the idea of the game and I like the gameplay for the most part it's just that they did so many things wrong, inconsistantly and illogically and it seems they all could've been fixed very simply. They don't even have a difficultly level option.

Re: Dead Rising Hands-On (Xbox 360)

The watch doesn't bother me or even the save system.

Last night I defeated those psychos (the dudes in the yellow overcoats w/ masks) and are they annoying once they start appearing all over the place. It's kind of overboard imo that these guys can get away without getting harmed by the zombies. I know that they were paying homage to the human characters in the DEAD series that were a bit off their rocker with these psychos (Adam, Cletus, Grocery Store guy, etc.). I just want to battle zombies and save survivors, battling psychos over and over just gets to be to overboard imo.

One thing I'm not too fond of this storyline here is that this game is heading towards one of those Capcom off the wall storylines.

Even those these are my small beefs, I'm still enjoying the game. I'm at level 16 right now and more than halfway through the game.

I have finally found out some of the truth behind Carlito, interesting.

Still works after 25. I'm level 30 and german suplexing zombies through windows.

Killing the movie theatre psycho gets rid of the dudes in the yellow coats apprently.

Yeah, there should be no reason as to why this type of leveling up doesn't continue all the way to level 50. I just want to ask why you think that this is a flaw in the game? I hope that you realize that this is one of the ways that this game is meant to be played.

You have the option of going through

1-Story mode + leveling up along the way.
2-Forget about the storymode to level up with side missions + killing zombies.
3-Level Up and start the story mode at a higher level than default.

Capcom intended for you to go through this game in so many different ways to give it replay value. Granted the save system sucks, it was done for the reason to make gamers feel like you really are under pressure.

If you were complaining about the aiming system, then I would agree with you 100%. It's something that you get used to over time, but should have never been like this. Or even the inventory issues as to when your weapon breaks, sometimes you can have an apple in your hand in a crowd full of zombies.

                      Now those are complaints. LOL!

Just traded my game in at Wal-Mart after my copy from Best Buy froze everytime I played. Just spent an hour into the game finally, and beat the clown, went into the parking garage, reeked havoc, and found the key down there. The game is definately flawed, but overall alot of fun.

Holic, did it freeze on the new system?

It may not work all the way to 50 because of the jumps in points needed to gain more levels. I'm sure it wasn't meant to be used like this. Don't even have to do side missions. In fact at one point I went up 3 levels without even killing anything.

I already complained about the aiming from the demo so that was expected.

I still don't see it as a flaw in the game. Why would Capcom allow you to save your stats and then use them in a fresh new game? Why would they take this all the way to level 50? It's there so you can play the game how you want to play it. Dead Rising is the type of game that is meant to be played through multiple times.

I think that this game is so much better once your leveled up. I feel that once your in the teens, it just makes the game that much better since it's not ultra tough but you still get a nice challenge.

I will need to go into the theater and kill that guy since those yellow jacket psychopaths are annoying. Was he tough to beat?

Yep, no other games freeze, so I think it was the disc. I've read over at GameFaqs and TeamXbox that others are having freezing issues. Decided to go the Wal-Mart route, since Best Buy probably had a bad shipment. Seems like it worked so far.
