      It is.

The action where you can pin point where you want the the bullet to go is pretty neat.

      The duals are cool too.

The demo's great, but I doubt i will buy it. It's action packed, I love the diving and precision aiming.

Yeah the demo is great, also when you unlock hard mode, and the additional gunmode, its worth playing through the demo again. With the three features starting out......

But hard mode, you will get killed quick....overall, I'm loving this game, its alot more than I expected, and as a fan of Hard Boiled....its nice to see they kept a similiar cast in the game..nice touch...

                Multiplayer preview at 1up.com,

Online multiplayer is available for two to six players, in Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch varieties. You can set the time limit and kill count, but that's the extent of the modes and options...

With much of the action in Stranglehold coming from incredibly thorough environmental destruction and contextual actions like sliding across tables, running up banisters and swinging on chandeliers (all while shooting), the multiplayer levels thankfully retain their interactivity...

just like in the single-player game, you build up Tequila Time as you chain together fancy moves, and activate it once full by tapping a button. In multiplayer matches, it simply slows down time for everyone on the map, which generally gives the advantage to the player who activated it (since they get to choose when to trigger it). You can also activate abilities -- like lining up precision shots to kill an enemy with a single bullet if you can catch them in your sights, increasing your rate of fire by essentially slowing down time only for you, or spinning around in a 360-degree whirlwind of gunfire -- on the D-pad as you collect the origami cranes...

we do have gripes with the multiplayer at the moment. It takes far too long to kill someone (two players can shoot each other in the head with shotguns point-blank for quite a while before anything happens), the shooting feels more disconnected than in the single-player game since the pace is so hectic, and there's just not a ton of variety or strategy behind the simple, straightforward gameplay. It looks great and we certainly had fun with it, but multiplayer seems to have been tacked-on with the developers focusing mostly on single-player, leading to a pretty simple overall mode.

It would be nice if this had 2 player co-op offline against bots.

Good looking game. I played the demo a little the other night and it reminded me quite a bit of Max Payne, which is one of my favorites. Should be a good time, hopefully the multiplayer comes up big.

There are a lot of mindless shooters on the market, but none of them immerse you in John Woo's world. And that's where Stranglehold stands out. This is the true sequel to Hard Boiled, which means Stranglehold is more about style than substance. So, not surprisingly, the story is melodramatic and forgettable and the adrenaline-pumping action is the star of the show. Stranglehold could use two more chapters and a little more visual polish, but it is an otherwise exhilarating experience. There are plenty of "Oh my God" moments and just enough challenge to sustain anyone's interest from start to finish.

Go check your local Walmarts!!! I just saw about ten copies on the shelf of this game and debated whether to buy it or Medal of Honor. I didn't pick it up, but your local Walmart might have them.
