Have you even read half of what this thing does? It's not just a TV Remote you know. I was excited about the Revolution before this news and I'm even moreso now. All I know it's gonna be badass when I'm Swordfighting online when others are still playing Halo 6. And what's up accusing Nintendo of making rehashes? Your trying to tell me Sony or Microsoft doesn't do the very exact same thing?

Here's a sample of what 1up.com had to say....

"The Revolution Controller Basics: What The Hell Is It?
The controller for Nintendo's upcoming Revolution home console system is a cordless remote-control-like device designed to be used with only one hand. Two small sensors placed near the TV and a chip inside the controller track its position and orientation, allowing the player to manipulate the action on screen by physically moving the controller itself. For example, you could slash an in-game sword by actually swinging the controller from side to side, turn a race car just by twisting your wrist, or aim your gun in a shooter by pointing the controller where you want to fire."

My systems are in my family room, I would love to see my neighbors or friends coming over and seeing me slashing my sword! LMAO... no thanks, sorry big N, you lost a sale.

Sounds they are re-inventing the Power Glove.

I don't understand what alot of peoples beef is with the controller. It's gotten great praise from IGN, Gamespot and 1UP so far.

I love the controller, and It is not new at all in fact this is the same controller they started off with from the start back in 1982 before the Console was even heard of then on the NES. Most of you guys were not even born yet, this is what True Nintendo gamers want, something tried and proven. If you are buying a Nintendo console for Sport games you have no idea what you are doing and are clueless, If you are buying a Nintendo Console to play Awesome Video Games then you definetly are a True Nintendo Gamer.

Nintendo Caters to Japanese Gamers first America second, thats the way it has always been!

I guess I'm just tired of Nintendo being weird. I love the DS, great little system, but they keep trying to be different and it fails more than it suceeds. The Cube, great system, but failure in the grand scheme of things. Nintendo 64, same. How often did a new N64 game even get released? Once very 6 months? Virtual Boy...oh don't even remind me. R.O.B., Ha ha ha haha. If it wasn't for the Gameboy, they would have been Sega.

Re: Nintendo cements itself as a laughingstock

How many of you same guys talk about trying out Madden before bashing it? How many of you same guys talk about Live and 2K for their innovation in things? I mean, what is more realistic than MOVING in a video game by moving in the living room. I mean, think of the possiblities. Just say that 2k does make a tennis game on there. You would have to swing the controller and probably get the twist mechanism right to get nice lops or smashes down the line. Even so, there could even be ways to create new moves in fighting games by the endless number of movement the body can do.

The controller is something innovative to Grand Theft Auto where it's wide open for countless numbers of innovation for games and things like that. I was sleepily looking at Nintendo and it's honestly catching my eye. Did ya'll even read the review? How many of you read the review and understood what they said? I mean, think about House of the Dead at the arcade. How many of you would kill to get that thing in your house? Well, Nintendo made it possible. You reload and point with almost the same precision as that thing. Probably even better because instead of be lead, you can walk back and forth, look sideways, down and up, turn around, and do rolls all with the flick of a wrist.

With basketball, think about having the ability to play with the remote in a way never before experienced in your home. I mean, what if the controller came close to allowing us to pull off crossovers and jumpshots with our hands moving the controller? This is like the biggest thing I've ever seen in my gaming life. Though it's been short, it has been wonderful. Not to mention, it might be even cheaper than both systems. Plus the peripherals that ya'll are talking about (minus that left handed analog) might already be in your house. Think about your kids literally having to "think" to play a game. Instead of the lazy glare and push, you could have your kids move around playing the games. That could be the exercise. Shoot, races, football, BASEBALL , boxing....so many possibilities. I just want to know how much. When I find that out, that will definitely be my next system...after the 360 of course. Consider me IMPRESSED....

I don't think this controller is going to solve health problems and exercise issues with children. Let's not get too carried away.

I read the article already and it's still not as great as nintendo has made it out to be. It is nice that you can hook up old controllers though but that's about it. I have no interest in waving my arms around to move something.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

One possible problem with the controller I see is that the A and B buttons being in akward positions. Even though it's a woman's hand in the picture, the space between the D-pad and A and B buttons still look to far apart.

i don't really get everyone sometimes...y'all scream at EA and other companies for being too stagnant and not innovative at all, but then you also scream at Nintendo for doing something different and innovative.

I'll reserve judgement until I try it for myself but when I play videogames I dont want to have to work in order to do things.

I have some interest in it but I definately am going to wait until I can try it out for myself and see how 3rd party support is.

As I said, how am I supposed to teach my 4 year old daughter to use this?

I dont plan on buying Metroid just to fool around with this thing. Its not like anyone will follow suit. Its always a better idea to be able to control everything on one pad than two. A thumbstick and a remote control is just not interesting to me.
I agree with all you said but like I said I will reserve judgement, but right now its just looking stupid. The problem with nintendo is they keep trying to be "different" and they keep failing over and over again.

Hopefully its as cool as they claim it to be but I am not that excited.

I don't know where you got that from. I said it can be a very beneficial thing for kids exercise-wise. That doesn't mean they'll be the healthiest little misfits in the world. Just that they can become coordinated from this machine possibly. Don't even feel like taking it the biological route today. Still, we're not nitpicking but viewing THE WHOLE PICTURE!!

Please, everyone, write down the top 10 LOGICAL reasons why you won't buy the system because of the controller okay. First, ya'll have to read and contemplate on the articles that are all put down for us to read on this. Take down notes and then drop your top ten reasons for not doing it. Let's have a nice logical discussion so that we can logically examine why ya'll aren't feeling the controller. I'm just not understanding clearly enough I'm assuming. If you can't do 10, drop 5.
