No because there's also an add-on so the controller can be shaped like the rest of the next gen consoles. On top of that, it will still have that motion sensor. Imagine QB vision being controlled by the direction you point your contoller.

      Thats crazy.

That's not crazy, that's innovative, and cool. Like adding Joysticks to controllers. But, really who wants innovation in america?

Thats why most Americans suck. They shun innovation.

            You are so right.

Because of what the controller symbolizes.

It promises new games, new ways to play, a different level of interaction and a different experience, an experience that PS3 and 360 will not be matching.

I'm in the same boat. Zero interest in the Revolution, then the controller comes out and huh, maybe I don't care if the basketball players sweat. Maybe a little innovation would be fun.

One thing that I'd be a little upset about is the lack of love for the Revolution in the sports realm. Honestly, VC isn't giving them any love already. I'm pretty sure that EA might even pull out a little also. The power on the Revolution is still unknown though right? I'd definitely love to see a game on that system using that innovative controller. Oh my goodness. Maybe they could do an NBA Courtside.....forgot about the exclusives. Oh, they do have the baseball though which is still nice.

I just see endless possibilities with this system. Remember though, that the 3rd-party games for the systems really bring the appeal. If Nintendo can get a few of them on their bandwaggon, then they might just be a system to reckon with this generation. Oh, I think I'm definitely going to try and get me one though eventually. Great posts ya'll fellaz dropping on here. Keep up the contemplation....

yeah, there is a sensor in the end of the controller that can be a virtual bat, sword, racket etc. I like the fact that Nintendo is coming out with something different. Add to the fact that we will be able to download any old nintendo game. I don't see them being free though.

Iwata said games must appeal to a wider audience, including novices, if game creators hope to survive, but many people are intimidated by the many buttons now required to play.

sounds like it will be easy to use too, especially for us older pepole.

Nintendo is getting carried away. Why not just make a gun instead of having the gamer wave around a remote control like someone on crack.

yeah I'm looking forward to this too. Hopefully they won't be more than like a dollar or two. Otherwise, I won't download any.

i would have to agree with nintendojo 's comment:

"In spite of all our serious hypotheses and humorous jokes, Nintendo honestly delivered and surprised us, and neither the fan boy nor the Nintendo basher can be truly satisfied. We're faced with such a new, unusual idea that we can't say it's a homerun concept, but we also can't say it's a surefire flop without experiencing it."

if nintendo executes well enough to bring innovative game concepts to the surface, the revolutions will be a console like no other. of the big three, each needs and wants to separate itself from the rest and nintendo just took the first big step.

we'll just have to see if nintendo will be able to execute.

I like the design of it. If you want traditional games, use the regular controller add on. Sounds like it'll work really well with FPS games. It'll be interesting to see where they go with this, and how many different add on pieces they make. Atleast they're trying something new and different.

Now we'll have to see if the developers really take advantage of its features.
