Re: Nintendo cements itself as a laughingstock

I can do a few, as I research more into all of what it does I can add to this list.

    1. Just me personally but I want to use a controller, not a remote with a joystick thing connected to it.
    2. I am not liking the idea of "addons" costing money.
    3. Just an FYI but this list, 2-6 is not in order of importance, but having a power button on a controller isnt the smartest idea in the world.
    4. I just dont like the layout of the "controller" at all, home and start should not be by the B button. (for example)
    5. Price, I just can't see these things being cheap and even if so, like I said, addons costing money is not sounding good.
    6. This may be a posotive, I can't say since I haven't used the "controller", but I don't know how I'm going to like swinging around a remote trying to kill guys. I will have to see though.

I'm sure you realise that what you're asking for here. More than likely you lost many at "read and contemplate". The words "logical", "discussion", and "examine" are also big no-no's as they require a basic grasp of the english language. You're fighting the good fight, but the odds are clearly against you.

To speak about game companies making money off perhiperals Microsoft is going to be making lots of money off have us to pay for the hardrive. 3rd party support for the Revolution should be huge, considering the endless amounts of things companies will make.

Classic. It might turn out pretty good on here. Just crossing the fingers and hoping. Doesn't hurt to try....

Those are logical. Looking it in an optimistic way, the peripherals might not be as expensive as the ones coming from other companies. The price range might be much more affordable honestly. Also, the swinging around of the remote is a bad example. You just twist clockwise or counter-clockwise, move forward, back, up, down, left, right, tilt, and whatever other way the motion detector notices the controller. I can understand you not liking the controller scheme but there might be that left handed analog thing that might not need the excessive use of hitting those other buttons. It's kind off like a controller cut in half to me. Plus you can turn it sideways like the old controller from NES. Also, the buttons being too close is an example that can be discarded. After a while, the repetition of gameplaying would impressiong the button setup to the point that we'd have a basic idea of how where everything is. Pretty sure of it or at least the past tells me so....

I was exaggerating but I just don't know if this was the best controller they could think of, personally a render I saw a while back of like a touch-screen controller where you could make/move buttons and crap, that I think would of been much better IMO.

I don't know what to think about this controller, I'm not getting a Revolution, so it doesn't bother me either way. This thing though...I think it would be weird, I'm so used to just one controller unit, not two separate things.

It'll could be great for offense in football and FPS. Might work for RPGs. Can't imagine trying to play a driving game with it or any other sports or fighting games.

3rd party support was supposed to be good for Gamecube too and now they have trouble getting even EA to make games for them. (notice MVP 06 is not coming to the cube)

I remember they tried this with N64 (I think it was the Tilt Pack?). Anyway, it was the same concept, where you moved the controller instead of the joystick. It was cool for about 5 minutes in starfox, but then it got real annoying and after awhile tiring.

I don't think the design will function that well.

I definetely love this idea for a tennis game or golf game I guess for that matter but honestly how many people are going to buy a revolution for tennis and golf. Also what about other sports games like basketball and football. How would you do all the moves in those games and move the player around? I can see this working for racing and maybe action games as well though I hope the controller isn't too sensitive.

I'd really like to see them add more buttons to the controller before release. Or at least add another trigger button to the analog add-on, or maybe two. There's a severe lack of buttons on this thing.

I think the main thing people are missing here is that it's Nintendo. They have some geniuses working there. Theyre not gonna put out some BS product out there without actually doing research and development on it. I'm sure they've weighed the pros and cons and have tried and true ideas for use of this controller. They know what they're doing.

I think it's gonna be bad ***, thats just me.

Some of the greatest fun I've had in gaming came from the NES and Genesis. It's not how many butttons it's how well designed the game is.

Give it a chance, XBOX 360 & PS3 will be pretty much identical systems. With exclusive licences coming to an end nintendo is trying to reach a different market. Most importantly Revolution will be $200 cheaper then the other two consoles at launch, and the revolution does have ports for gamecube controlers for hesistant 3rd party game makers. There's a good chance I will end up buying all 3 systems, Eventually.
