I think Best Buy./Circuit City/Walmart/Costco will all be fine choices for picking up 360's.

Re: Xbox 360 EVERYTHING Pre-Release, Pre-Order Discussion...
Wal-Mart in store is going to be offering the premium system for $400 right? I ran by Wal-Mart's website and all they are listing is bundles. Can anyone confirm Wal-Mart will be offering just the premium system by itself in store?Comment

Re: Xbox 360 EVERYTHING Pre-Release, Pre-Order Discussion...
Tal at IGN says Xbox 360 reviews will start going up at midnight PST.
We'll also have a ton of new media and a nice video feature on what you can expect when you open the box.
Oh, and they will be FULL reviews. We're working our way down and getting the "biggest" or "most important" game reviews out first. Expect at least one big surprise.
We are working on some video reviews, but they won't be done tonight. We also don't have PDZ code yet, so don't expect that one, either.
Well, since Kameo is available in stores, it's a good bet that it may be one of the reviews.
We also have 2K's line-up plus a surprise that I don't think anyone else has yet.
Oh, and by "biggest" and "most important" reviews, I mean of the ones that we have. We got 2K's line-up, anything that was released in stores already, some Activision titles (although some of them are under embargo), some of EA's line-up and a few surprises that I can't talk about :0)
But expect a HUGE flood of X360 reviews throughout this entire week, w/ video reviews for a lot of the games, starting at midnight PST tonight. Our only major stopgap now is just the number of systems we have (or don't have). We have a lot of games to review, but basically only one system to play them on since non-retail games won't work in retail units, and vice-versa. The retail unit was handy for playing Kameo, though.

Re: Xbox 360 EVERYTHING Pre-Release, Pre-Order Discussion...
Alright here's the reviews that will be going up at Midnight PST and during the day.
Text Reviews:
Madden NFL '06
NBA 2K6
Kameo: Elements of Power
Video Reviews:
PGR3
Call of Duty 2
Revews of PGR3, Call of Duty 2, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland and more will come in tomorrow -- and they will be full and complete IGN three to four-page reviews. The other reviews will come along quickly after that. Sharing one unit for all these 18 games has been...shall we say, interesting...
We'll also have a fatty, and I mean FATTY, online feature detailing all the functionalities of the Xbox and each and every game, and a sweet video feature on the Xbox 360 and its capabilities.Last edited by Flawless; 11-14-2005, 09:05 PM.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Xbox 360 EVERYTHING Pre-Release, Pre-Order Discussion...
I did one of the late EB 360 preorders about a month ago. Today the owner told me there was to be a conference type call or notification before the end of the business day tomorrow on how many preorder units will be available at launch, including the late preorders. She said it's possible that there won't be enough or that there will be more than enough to satisfy even the late preorders. In other words, she's totally in the dark.Comment
