Keep the power-brick away from the system. I keep my power brick on the floor (wood-floor) and the system on an entertainment center (well-ventilated) and I haven't had any problems. The system gets warm, but not hot.Originally posted by LionsFan20Any tips for keeping the system cool? Other than good ventalation is there anything I can do to keep it cooler?XBL: TancComment

Too keep the system as cool as possible, I'm thinking of buying some ice packs and placing them under the system while I play. Do you guys think this will help and is it a good idea?

 Re: Official 360 Problems

I got mine back today from the repair center. At first I thought it was a refurb unit, but I checked the manufacture date, and it is 12-5-05. I doubt it could have been shipped, purchased at retail, sent into the repair center by the buyer, and repaired by them in that short of a time frame, but I suppose there is a slight chance.

Oh well, everything looks brand new, and more importantly it works perfectly so far. I am really impressed with the turnaround time, too, since they only received it from me last Thursday. My new one also came with a hard drive too, so now I have an extra one. May come in handy if I keep downloading demos.Comment

 Re: Official 360 Problems

The only problem I have with my 360 is that recordable media (DVD+R, DVD/RW, etc.) doesn't play smoothly. I might get 3/4ths into a movie, and have read errors without a message.

 Otherwise, I'm satisfied.D E S E R V E_V I C T O R YR.I.P. Sean Taylor (1983-2007), a True CaneComment
