Re: Official 360 Problems
Finally, somewhat of a breakthrough. I got a serious bug up my a$$ and made 3 straight calls to them over the last hour. I eventually got a hold of a supervisor who was halfway competent. It seems my console has indeed been repaired and is awaiting shipment back to me. But due to the holiday, the repair center is closed tommorrow and won't be shipping again until Monday. So, maybe with a little luck, and some divine interventionI could possibly have it back by Wednesday or Thursday. We shall see, at least I feel a little better now.

edit: I forgot to mention that once I get it turned on it works fine. It has only froze once, and that was like 2-3 days after launch.
My console recently started throwing a new little wrinkle at me. Every few times I hit the power button, the ring of light goes to solid red. I then turn it off, and back on, and it boots up properly.
Needless to say, I called Microsoft yesterday and told them to send me out a box so I can send it in for repairs or a new one. No way I am gonna chance it when there is a 90 day manufacturer's warranty.Comment

Re: Official 360 Problems
Like I said fellas, even if you have the slightest doubt I would highly recommend sending it in. Why take a chance? If you didn't get the extended warrenty once the 90 days are up your SOL if anything happens to your console. Yeah, you'll be out of a 360 for a while (and in my case, a LONG while) but better that than having to shell out another 300 bones.

Re: Official 360 Problems
Well, I called them up today and once again had to get transferred to a supervisor (after over 20 minutes on hold of course). Apparently the rep wasn't "authorized" to look at my repair order account.
Ok, whatever. Anyway, the supervisor told me that she has no update on the status of my console or when I might be getting it back. They aren't shipping today due to the recognized holiday. It has been at the repair center exactly 2 weeks now, being that I sent it out 12/16/05 and was recieved 12/19/05. She assured me that my console is indeed there and that the repair center knows it's there. The question of course, is WTF is taking so damn long? 7-10 bussiness days my a$$. She told me that the holidays and well as that they are up to their eyeballs with defective consoles are the main reasons. She also said it definently won't be any longer than three weeks. Sigh. I've been a very patient guy through this whole ordeal. I certainly haven't been mean or vulgar to them when I call them up time and time again either. However, the fuse is getting short and the vice is getting pretty tight. I understand I'm just one of hundreds if not thousands of phone calls they get everyday. I also realize a lot of those people have probably been less than courteous to them. I just wish they had some info for me. When they can't tell you anything and leave you hanging in doubt. I just can't stand that. What's even the point of having a service center? If this was just a 20 dollar CD cassete player or something of small vaule it wouldn't be a big deal. But this was a MAJOR investment. A 500 dollar investment to be exact, as I just got my credit card bill last week. Paying off for something I don't even currently possess. I just want this to be over and move on. I move into my new home in VA 1 week from now. I would REALLY like to have it by them. All work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Hee Hee Hee Hee.

Re: Official 360 Problems
Well, I called them up, and actually got through pretty quick for a change. I finally got some news, and it appears to be good news. Didn't have to get transferred to a supervisor either. The rep gave me a tracking number and after checking it via DHL my console is indeed on it's way to me. THANK YOU LORD! GLORY TO THEE OH GOD! SAINTS BE PRAISED! It's looking like I'll have it within the next day or two. I cannot believe it, I'm finally gonna get it back. God forbid I ever have to ship it out again. How I wish, how I wish you were here.
