 I'm scared now because I just purchased the $60 warranty. I hope that they didn't help people out in the beginning for PR reasons, and now their telling everyone to screw off.Comment

 Finally got a new tracking number today. Still upset cuz the repair center has had my console since Dec 2nd.
 
 Looked it up on DHL and it said "No status available. Please contact us"
 
 I call DHL and they say call my shipper cuz it might not have left the location. The tracking info also says "Est. Delivery Date: 12/8/2005"Last edited by Gilateen; 12-08-2005, 02:20 PM.Comment

 FINALLY!!!
 
 Got my 360 back yesterday. No freezing or anything, seems a bit quieter too.
 
 Overall, the service center folks are clueless, they just read from previous notes and try to BS you by saying something that hasnt been said to you yet. I must admit I was a bit impatient, I guess thats expected when you get a whiff of 360 and then its taken away from you for a week.

 This is getting ridiculous. Still no box! The first one never came, the second one was shipped to the wrong address, now I have a third one supposedly being sent on it's way to me. I'm getting PISSED! I can't even get the damn thing sent out, let alone fixed. Aaarrgghhh. How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year.  Hey guys...this isn't really a problem as much as it's a tech question..
 
 I have a Dell flat panel computer LCD with component inputs. Should I (can I) use the included component cables that come with the 360...or should I buy the VGA HDAV cables instead (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/258837.asp)? Is there a difference between the VGA HDAV cables and the standard highdef component ones? Is it even worth the extra $? The LCD is a 24" wide screen so I wanted to be able to play without any weird stretching/distortion effects. Thanks guys.Comment

 1st, no where have you said that you have asked for a tracking number. If you have been following this thread you shouldve known to ask for a tracking number. Once you have a tracking number then you can bitch to either party (MS or DHL).
 
 2nd, When you receive the box, send only what they tell you to send. More than likely they will just want the console, HDD and power supply. DONT SEND THE AV CORDS!!! What happens if the repair center fails to send that back, youre gonna be even more pissed!!!
 
 3rd, RIGHT NOW and I do mean RIGHT NOW...WRITE DOWN YOUR SERIAL NUMBER FOR YOU CONSOLE AND POWER SUPPLY. Dont ask why just do it!
 
 4th, When you do receive the return box, its gonna come with a slip called a "Waybill form". In the upper right hand corner is gonna be a waybill number....THATS YOUR TRACKING NUMBER!!!! You can check the status of the package on www.dhl.com by inputting that waybill number on the site. Call DHL and arrange for a pcikup from you house and if you do not know how to fill out the slip WAIT FOR THEM TO ARRIVE AND HAVE DHL HELP YOU!!!!
 
 5th, when you see that the repair center has received the console, call the next day for status. Be prepared to receive different info from different people but dont let that frustrate you. Kindly ask everyone for their name and keep track of anything and everything they tell you. After calling the Repair center and they say the console has been repaired, ask for a tracking number. Try to make that call when you are by a PC so when you do receive a tracking number from them you can go right to DHL and check it. Cuz the call center will give you wrong tracking numbers just to get you off the phone. Kindly put them on hold and check it real quick. Keep callin back til you get the CORRECT TRACKING #, just dont call 3-4 times a day, thats when the call center will start to play games with you.
 
 Finally when you do a get a CORRECT tracking number and you see that your console is on its way back to you, calm down cuz you will be gaming soon.
 
 More than likely you are going to receive a NEW console so the wait will be worth it.Comment

 Thanks for the advice Gilateen, much appreciated. I got the tracking number and they guranteed the box will be here tomorrow. Now all they want is the console, no HDD, no power supply, just the 360 itself. All I want is what everybody else has, a working console. I'm not looking for a handout or that I'm entitled to anything special or extra. It's killing me not being able to play my 3 games. NBA2K6, COD2, and PGR3. I'm just praying they get this thing fixed the first time. Not shipping the power supply makes me nervous. From what I've read that seems to be one of the main culprits. The power supply 'brick" overheats causing the console to shutdown. Who the hell knows? Could be anything from the CPU to the wiring to anything I guess. Anyhow, I'm rambling.  Well, DHL dropped off my console at the MS repair center in Teaxs this morning. At least I know it got there ok. Please MS, I don't care if you fix it, replace it, or what, I just want a 360 that works. How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year.  I have a couple questions..........
 
 1) My 360 sometimes gets a jagged screen when I first power up. If I shut it off and power back up again, its fine. This has happened twice now in the last two days. Has this happened to anyone else?
 
 2) and should I be concerned??Comment
