Yes, so was the PS1. Bought them both on launch.

I don't think all the soccer moms will buy the PS3 for their kiddies considering it will more than likely be almost double what the previous one cost.

Sony is still being..well Sony LOL...at first I thought they were bing quiet as a marketing ploy but the more I read, the more I believe this system may not make it out the door in 2006. It's funny I was very excited about the PS3 and not as excited about the 360 and now I have reversed that position.

I can't argue your point at all. There is no doubt in anyone's mind who's going to win this console war. I've never debated that. I think even MS knows that Sony's monster system will out sell their's. At this point, it's a battle to see how much can MS cut into the PS3.

The bigger question for Sony is will they be able to sell 50 million PS3's like they did PS2's? If they don't and there are more than 14 million 360's sold, then the time's are changing.

There is no doubt that the numbers will be closer this time. It could of been better if ppl were able to just walk in a store and pick one up though. Plus MS still cant crack the Japanese market.

Me neither. 500-600 bucks is just to much to waste on a kid. Especially considering how kids treat toys and such. Teenagers may not have much of a problem but I'm thinkng mostly about the 13 and under crowd.

If anything, I think Sony will rush the console out this year. I would'nt want to give MS a full year or more head start. Next christmas season, when gamers will really wanna pick up a next gen console, if the 360 the only one availible(or the Revolution), then Sony may be in for a rough one.

I've had a network adapter since he came out. I just cant find nothing to do with the thing. I dont know hardly anything about PS2s online community.

I am curious about the idea of the PS3 being the Blue-ray Trojan horse. I read somehwere that Sony as a whole is taking a big gamble with Blue-ray. I cannot imagine them suffering a terrible blow considering the support in Japan. However, the electronics world is so competitive now that anything can happen.

Ahh..I used to love Socom. I did'nt buy 2 or 3 but part 1 was the only time i ever used the network adapter. Just like on XBOX Live, I zone the immature dudes out. Sometimes they're funny though.

Maaaannn, who you telling. I got a NES by the time it was in its last year. I got my Genesis about 2 years after it came out and I stole money from my pops and traded in everything Genesis related to get a PS1. I have no idea how I landed a PS2....its just at my home. In fact there is 2 of them but I do know who one belongs to.

If I was a teen now, my moms would drop kick me if I asked for a PS3. Straight up bitch smack me for even thinking about it.

What I meant though was nowadays parent buy their teenage sons and daughters 200-300 dollar cell phones and Ipods. A PS3 may not be a far reach for those kind of teens.
