I'll be honest. I'm upset at Sony. Since the N64, I have bought every system on day one. Sony priced themselves out of that possibility with me this time around. The Wii is definitely in the plans, but until the PS3 comes down SIGNIFICANTLY in price, I'll have to pass.

No, you can't say anything negative in a PS3 thread, or Backbreaker gets upset. It has to be positive or nothing. I'm shocked you haven't figured this out yet over the last few years.Comment

It was the controller and still is to this day. Plus the PS3 has not showed me why it's better performance wise than what I already have in the 360.Comment

I was all set to get one also man, then E3 hits and after hearing that price tag I went running the other direction even though I was still looking behind me to see what they have to offer to this day. Once I started seeing former Sony exclusives also coming to the 360 as cross platform it has only made me want to wait it out even more to see what kind of bugs/overheating that the system may have + I think this Spring will be when the PS3 will start getting some good games.Comment

Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
I 100% Backbreaker, not sony or ms. I look at it like this, I get part Wii and Part 360 Part HiDef movies and Part PC(linux yellow dog 5.0 op sys and internet) on the PS3 without hooking it up to other things. I get it right out of the box. I have a PSP and this will be perfect for me to stream from the PS3 HDD. I look at what I can best capitalize on with the least amount of money, now $600.00 maybe a grip for some, but not for me and no I'm not rich, I just see the value. This is about me and my selection of what console I feels takes advantage of my entertainment system and it was easy decision for me the PS3.
Pelican is making a USB to PS2 controller so therefore I can play Guitar Heroes II on my PS3 for the additional cost of $4.99.
EG, its not about negative, its the speculation. I know all systems have pros and cons and I'm not blind to them.
I pre-order my PS3, paid it off $649.00 and I order a HDMI to HDMI 10ft cable from monoprice.com for $20.00. Launch games are supposed to be announced at the Sony's Press and Gamers event in SanFran on Thurs. 19OCT06. Resistance, MotorStorm, Genji, RR7, NBA2K7, & Madden amongst others.
and oh by the way the PS3 sucks.....LOLComment

And oh the EA avator I did the same thing to Kush because of the abominal baseball game. So this is in protest to that abomination called Live.

Again, I have no problems with someone saying negative things(Cons) about the PS3. Its the blatant "FUD" I take issue with, it is a pseudo defense to create balance in the argument. So say what you will negative or positive I can careless. Becuase by Nov. 17th, I will have a PS3 and a new Kingdom of Heaven Blu-ray disc, the 1st one to take advantage of the 50Gb and MPEG 4, Loss Less 7.1 audio and oh yeah playing the games I like as well making all those motions like the Wii, with graphics comparable to the 360.

And we'll be playing GOW, and shortly thereafter Forza II, Smackdown Vs Raw, Mass Effect, and Bioshock...all of which, IMO, bury any exclusive available in the Stations launch window... all while you are dining on games most of us have already digested and pooped out.

Although I'm not going to be so blatantly "in your face" with it, I agree that all those games are really going to be much better than anything the PS3 has at launch or for awhile after. Will they ever catch up? All based on the developers.
But personally, there are two things that are going to keep me away from a PS3 for a little while. The big thing is price, and the other thing that Sony has yet to prove otherwise is the differences in online play. As much talk as there has been about Sony's service being identical to Live but free, I will believe it when I see it. I just don't see it happening. It costs alot of money to make something as good as XBL, and this is money that Sony doesn't exactly have to throw around.Comment

And candyman, its not about being loyal, I own an xbox and I play the 360 occasionally. Again this is the choice I made that better fits my entertainment center. I can purchase Blu-ray movies and if that format doesn't pan out, I still have a game system on which the movies can be played.Last edited by backbreaker; 10-16-2006, 09:18 AM.Comment
