I just don't believe those bids. I think those bidders were doing that for the hell of it trying to drive that price up.
Plus, one way that you can tell some people are legit is by looking at the previous items that they have purchased. If this guy is willing to spend $10,000 on a PS3, he was probably willing to spend insane amounts on other items. When you look, some of these people have bought some cheap sh*t off of ebay. US PS3 Store already online
The day before the console's North American debut, the PS3's answer to Xbox Live Marketplace is up and running; demos for Resistance, Motorstorm downloadable.
Though registration is free, those looking to hook up their PS3s with Sony's online service will need a valid credit card. Once signed up, gamers can choose an avatar from several pages of Sony-centric art, including pictures from the Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, God of War, and SOCOM games.
The online store is currently populated by trailers for Lair, Genji: Days of the Blade, Warhawk, Resistance: Fall of Man, NBA 07, Calling All Cars!, Motorstorm, Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom, and Cash Guns Chaos. Several free demos are also available, including those for Blast Factor, Formula One Championship Edition, Motorstorm, Cash Guns Chaos, Resistance, and NBA 07. Sony is also offering two downloadable games--Cash Guns Chaos and Blast Factor, each priced at $7.99.

I tried a PS3 at Best Buy today (the Sony NBA game) and the machine froze. The Best Buy guy said the machine froze 8-10 times a day. Get ready for the post-lainch problems. I think it's impossible to put out these new machines, with tons of power, without huge problems.DON'T PANICComment

Man Im getting a PS3 in the morning (1st on the list @ gamestop) & I was thinking about keeping it, but with all these crazy prices being put on ebay I think I might want to sell it. I dont have any feedback being that I've never sold anything before on ebay, so how difficult would it be for me to sell it? I got a 360 so I really dont have to have a PS3 someone give me some advice!

Eh, you should've sold off an old unwanted game to at least get 1 feedback rating. The hysteria might cause people to overlook, though. If your going to accept Pay Pal make sure you accept Pay Pal vertified only.
Throw in overnight shipping as an incentive.
Post lots of information and take a picture of your receipt and the PS3 box once you get it.Comment
