Might have to change up your strategy or grab some cash, load up on potions and just chug them like mad to get through it, it varies.
I think money is my problem. I would buy 100 potions if I could. I will try the guilds to make some cash. Thanks for the reply! I havent played a game like this in a while and I need to use a strategy.

Yeah, definately join the guilds. Especially the Fighters and Mages. With the Fighters Guild, you can go in during the day, and pick up some nice "early level" weapons for free. Mage's Guild usually has some nice potions that will come in handy that you can just walk around and pick up for free. Also, don't forget that you can dabble in Alchemy and make your own potions.

And Re: the Gates... I like the Sigil Stones, but I wish they would have added more variety as in the overall look of the gates/towers. Everything was identical. Make me feel like I'm in a different plane of Oblivion... not the same gate over and over. That was my only complaint.

Oh, and now that I'm in full Daedric armor/sword/sheild, all enchanted, I'm pretty much untouchable. I walked up and punched a guard in the face, before I knew it, there were about 20 guards swinging their swords at me, lol. It still took them about 4-5 minutes to get me worn down, lol. Good times.

As for the infastucture, Morrowind spoiled me in that regard. GTA could'nt even compare to the diversity in towns and cities you found in Morrowind. Each part of the map also provided diffrent terrains which gave you a sense that you were in a real world. The towns seemed to provide much more culture than in Oblivion.
I wonder why they would take a step backwards than if Morrowind was so robust?

The problem with Morrowind was that after you reached a certain level, the game became very boring because you could kill anything and everything with ease. Now they seem to have gone to the other extreme by having enemies and loot level with you.

I think the new system is good in theory, I'll just never be able to accept the idea of bandits trying to rob you of 100 gold when they have a full suit of daedric, etc.

Luckily for PC users, there are a lot of mods that address this, combining the good things about Oblivion's and Morrowind's systems.

            PC Users

Speaking of mods. Here is my "Regional Bounty Mod." It's still in an early stage of development and I plan on adding quite a few new features. The full ReadMe and download link are here:

Here is a list of current features.
            - Makes your bounty based on the city you're in. If you commit a crime in Anvil, they won't know about it in Chorrol, etc.
            - If you leave a city where you committed a crime, your bounty is set to 0. When you return, your bounty is reset to whatever it was when you left.
            - Paying your fine or going to jail will reset your bounty in that city to 0, but leave your bounties elsewhere untouched.
            - Thieves Guild bounties can still be paid to Armand Cristophe and S'Krivva. Armand will pay your bounties in Chorrol, Bruma, Cheydinhal and the Imperial City. S'Krivva will pay your bounties in Anvil, Kvatch, Skingrad, Bravil and Leyawiin.

Funniest glitch I have EVER seen in a video game... Going back to my horse story.

I went in Crumbling Mines earlier today... I went through, killed everyone, or so I thought. After searching through the whole mine, I started to run back out of there, when I heard a horse, lol... You guessed it. Somehow, the hobo, my horse, and a guard came running through the mines. Ran right through the walls, and they were gone again. I laughed my butt off...

The game froze up just a short second afterward though... Just enough to revive old memories.

Now he's just rubbing it in. You really need to hunt him down and kill him.

by the way, on a note regarding my "problem", i've been to a bunch of mages guild and evidently they seem intent on hating me because i have yet to find anyone anywhere that can recharge my magical weapons. i've taken to looking for and buying those gem stones to do it myself but since i have plenty of money i'd like to just recharge a bunch of them all at once. stupid mages!

Oh yeah, I'm packing my Daedric Bow, and Daedric Arrows enchanted with Fire... if I see that bastard out riding again, and I can get a good shot off, he's mine.

Now every time I talk to a stinkin hobo, I always hope there's going to be an option to tell him that I don't have a horse... so no use trying...

Dude they have one in EVERY mage's guild hall. Use a detect life spell or something to see them in some of the multi-leveled halls and search every floor...between 10am and like 5pm. Any other time and they may or may not be in the hall.

There's one everywhere, you've just had incredibly bad luck so far.

Has anyone noticed a money bug? I killed this dude in his home, and then proceded to have my way with his corpse (stealing is all you filthy monkeys!). The guy had a 120 gold on him, so i took it, but it never went away, i just kept taking and taking and the the money never seemed to disappear, and only my pockets got fatter! I decided i didnt want to get rich by a bug, but it seemed like I could have done this all day and had millions of gold. Anyone else have this happen. This was several days agao, and when i went back to his crib, his corpse was gone.

yeah it's a known issue that will be fixed with the patch. i took advantage of it bigtime. it doesn't really unbalance the game too much IMO because you can't really use money to buy things that are alot more powerful than your level anyways. just makes it nice to have healing potions and other niceties and not have to scrape around like a pauper.

i'll try to ask this question without spoilers...but keep that in mind

anyone know a fence or shop I can pawn a lot of legal stuff I got in mines and dungeons? I have a minor weight problem because of wearing a certain helm (thieves guild people understand), and whenever you travel to a town you're "infamous" and the bounty goes up fast. Wasn't sure if there was a out of the way place to sell a lot of the heavy weapons and stuff without having to deal with the feds.
