Well, I think you should try it man. I've had a few friends who weren't into RPG type games absolutely love this. That even goes for me. When I first saw the screens and the videos I decided it wasn't for me. But it came with my 360 and once I started playing I quickly got into it. It's definitely a top 3 if not the best overall game from last year. Only Gears is close in my eyes.

I have not played Everquest so I can't make a fair comparison. As far as games I've played, I would say the best thing I could compare it to would be a fantasy based GTA. It's completely open ended, go anywhere. You can choose to be a hero type or villian type based on your actions. You can play this game for hours and hours without even touching the main quest. Leveling up is fun, the creation and leveling of your character is very fun. It's just a really great game. Even if it's not your type of game, you should at least still check it out, just to make sure. Borrow from a friend at least.

I haven't gotten far inside but I have to say that so far, the design of the new enemies are pretty tight.

So is the ps3 version a worthy buy?

Most definately it is. The only problem with it at the moment is that not all of the downloadable content available for the 360 including the new shivering isle is not available for the PS3 right now. Apparently its being worked on and will be available at a later date. Although it does come with the Knights of the nine add on. I'm hoping that by the time I finish the main quest if ever lol, that all the extra content will be available for download.

As some reviews have stated the ps3 version runs a tad smoother, has slightly faster loading times and graphically may be slightly better than the 360 version. I've played the PS3 version for about nine hours and I agree with all of this. It really doesn't matter which version you get though because this game is great on any platform. The amount of content packed in to this game is kind of mind blowing to me.

I own the 360 version and love it.....the PS3 version should be just as good.....the Shivering Isles expansion, is it worth the points for download, what new weapons and armor and so on are there in the expansion

was the Mehrune's Dagger downloadable content given out for free? I haven't popped in Oblivion awhile and i just put it in and was prompted for an update... and one of the downloads I have is Mehrune's Dagger.. I don't recall downloading this ever and I don't think my account got hijacked because all of my money and MS points (or lack thereof) are in tact...

Are there any ideal places to search for the matrices or are they just random loot? I can't find the amber matrix set to save my life but I got almost the entire madness set. Infact the only amber piece I have is the hammer and I dont even use blunt

I'm really liking this expansion and Sheogorath is awesome! If you haven't already, try hitting him and see what happens. Best to save your game beforehand.

Fire! They have a 50% weakness to fire. So try to find yourself and enchanted weapon that dos Fire damage on strike. Any other questions you may have regarding the enemies, you can find the core bestiary on gamefaqs. The Shivering Isles bestiary isn't up yet.
