I just went to IGN, and found it. Thanks man

This could be good that their launching right after the PS3, it may get some potential buyers, but how many people wanting a PS3 will settle for a Wii? I highly doubt it. Nintendo should have gone with the October launch.

Only 2 games I'm interested in right now are Zelda and Mario Galaxy so far. I wonder if details of the Virtual Console for SEGA games has been announced yet?

        ------------

"Nintendo fans finally have a price and release date for the company's new generation console, Wii. The Big N is set to officially announce that the system will hit retail in North and South America for $250 on November 19. The New York Times published with the story and seems, in fact, to have beaten Nintendo Co. Ltd with the news.

Nintendo's Wii console will come packaged with one Wii remote, one nunchuck attachment, an AC adapter, an audio/video cable, a sensor bar, sensor bard stand, a Wii console stand and two batteries. The US package will also come bundled with a copy of Wii Sports, a compilation sports game that best shows off the mechanics of the system's unique controller. Wii Sports features tennis, baseball, golf and previously unannounced bowling and boxing games."

@ 249.99... nintendo is going to make a REAL nice profit.... especially with the added prices of the wiimote and nunchucks lol

kinda sad twilight princess isn't coming to GC though... i would have DEFINATELY bought that to give my gamecube one last run.

and finally... Nintendo has taken us back to the old times of buying a system that comes WITH a game.

They cancelled the Cube version? What a shame.

Does anyone know if this takes standard SD Cards for memory purposes? If I can buy a standard SD or HighSpeed SD card like the ones for our cameras, than that should be fine. For a 1gb you can find them at $30.

To get the Wii, Cube Controller (I would need one), SD Card, Component Cables, and Zelda......we could be talking about $350 or more. What was Nintendo thinking, if this system was $199 that would be better. To me this is like an advanced XBOX1 under the hood.

I don't know, this is a system that I would have to really think hard about purchasing.

How's the launch lineup so far? Right now, it seems like Zelda is the only game of interest that's coming.

Metroid's supposed to be launch, so is Red Steel, other than that no clue. There are 30 NES titles available too, Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, etc. They are 5-10 each as well.

I found this on Zelda from a Q&A:

                        Question and Answer Session Begins

Q: How much are the remotes?

A: Wii remote is $39.99 and the nunchuck attachment is $19.99.

Q: What's up with Zelda for GameCube?

A: Zelda GameCube launches on December 11.

Q: What's the cost of accessing the Internet?

A: No cost through our system. You need an Internet connection at your home. Wii is Wi-Fi enabled.

Q: First-party games will be $49.99. Will third parties price at $59.99?

A: We encourage third parties to price appropriately.

                        -----------

Question about 16:9 games that can't be answered.

This one question concerns me, if they are releasing this system in 2006, games should be 16:9 and 480p at the most even though HD is not their focus.

                        -----

Q: Talk about integration between DS and Wii.

A: In the future we'll talk about that.

                        Q: Metroid Prime 3?

                        A: 2007 game.

Q: When we can we expect to play games online for Wii and what kind of interface?

A: What's been announced in Japan is that the first online multiplayer game is going to be Pokemon Battle that will be launching during their launch window in Japan. When can you expect that here in the US? Shortly thereafter.

Q: How will the Wii Points be translated to Canada?

: 2,000 Wi points will be $24 Canadian.
