    Re: Nintendo DS Lite

I can't wait to see how small the DS Lite is gonna be. I think the current DS has a nice size and feel to it. Others have made the comment that the DS Lite almost seems too fragile.

If anything they do look very cool.

My wife was trying to talk me into getting one today when I showed her Nintendogs. I told her I'd rather wait for the one in June if it's going to be better.

How is Animal Crossing for the DS, is it similar to GC?

      I want:

      Coming Soon:
      New Super Mario Bros
      Yoshi's Island 2
      Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

      Titles out:
      Advance Wars: Dual Strike
      Animal Crossing: Wild World
      Bust-a-Move DS
      Castlevania
      Meteos
      Mario Kart DS
      Nintendogs: Dachshund & Friends
      Resident Evil: Deadly Silence
      Sonic Rush
      Super Mario 64 DS
      Tetris DS
      Trauma Center: Under the Knife

It's just a little thinner and every surface is flat. It feels nice (I've held one in my hands) and I don't think it feels fragile, if anything, it feels more expensive than the original model. There just aren't enough differences to warrant the cost of moving from the original model to the Lite. The stylus is also longer and slightly thicker.

For those of you that want one, I'd suggest pre-ordering. Gameboy Advance SP's were impossible to find shortly after its release (though that did add the much-needed backlight, the Lite may not be as big a hit but you never know).

I'm going this week to put my money down on the Lite. There are a few games that I can't wait to play.

Which games would you guys recommend? I'm going to get Animal Crossing, Nintendogs, and New Mario Bros. right off the bat.

Is there any other games that you could recommend that are excellent on here?

How is Mario 64 DS on here?

Just do me a favor and PLAY 'Animal Crossing'? Don't just discount it as a "girly" game. The gameplay is there and it can become very addicting! The GC version had a turnip stock market mini-game (different price every day for resale and after a week they went bad so you had to sell them...high or low) and my wife actually missed some of her engineering courses running around trying to get the best price. Not to mention all the holidays and special events. It's like digital crack at times...

Does anyone know what, if anything, was added to the DS version, other than Wi-Fi support? I want to make sure it's an upgrade since I still have it for GC.

My wife and I played the hell out of the Gamecube version. We used to visit each others towns. This game is so addicting.

I wonder the same if anything new was added for the DS version?
