yeah, i struggled on one in level 2 as well...now it's one on level 3 i'm on. It's fun though, and i notice i get better each time. I just like using the stylus, it's something you don't normally do in a video game

I was hit with the DS Lite bug... I caved in and got one (after some trade-ins, cost me 13 bucks for DS and game). I previously never had a DS so it's new to me. The 1st thing I noticed was the sleek look of it, really sharp and an eye catcher. The screen is NICE and BRIGHT. Unfortunately I was only able to pickup 1 game and it was Brain Age (Sudoku for hours), seems pretty entertaining.

It's a great pickup considering I've got a 3+ hour flight to catch tomorrow, so hopefully I won't have to constantly yell "blue" into the mic on the plane because for some reason, it has a hard time understanding the word "blue" from me.

Either way, my next additions to this collection will be.. Trauma Center (if I can find it), the new Mario Bros., Mario Kart and Metroid.

New SMB is really fun, it's a total throwback to the old days. I'm liking Mario Kart as well, just fun racing. I need the lower key games after a while on Trauma Center, man that game can have you flying around with the stylus

I play a lot of Brain Age as well. 11 days in a row actually lol .

For the "Blue" problem. Say it slow and stress the "ue" at the end and it will pick it up. If Brain Age understood "Blue" and my friance's "4" then I'd give it a 10, but due to bad recognition sometimes really frusteration I'm going with 8.8 or so.

I sold Mario Kart, I just couldn't get into it b/c Advance Wars is amazing me.

I get a lot of hand cramps on the original DS. Is it likely that I will also get hand cramps on teh DS Lite (since it is smaller)? Or do you guys find it more comfortable than the original?

I find it much more comfortable than the original. I've been playing NSMB so much that I haven't turned my 360 on except to play a few rounds of GRAW. As I've said before, I think Nintendo has the gaming stuff down to a science. Nintendo has made all of their systems (handheld and stationary) simple enough for a child to pick up and play, but hard enough that an adult has trouble completing every single objective in a game. It's just perfection IMO.

I just got my DS Lite. I'm loving it so far. The new Mario is great, and Metroid seems great, just gotta get the hang of the controls.

Anyways, stupid question- is there any way to adjust the brightness of the screen in game? Or do you have to do it from the system menu?

I was at the mall today and wandered into Gamestop out of boredom and noticed they happened to have a copy of Trauma Center so I picked it up. It is frustrating at times, but it is pretty fun. My hand cramps up like there's no tomorrow when I play more than a couple of operations in a row but its still enjoyable. It reminds me of an old PC game I played as a kid called Life and Death (I think). I will also add this game is the first time I've had a slight qualm with the unit's brightness and length of the stylus. I still have no plans to pick up a Lite though.

I remember Life and Death...from what little i remember it was pretty damn hard, but fun...this game can get you frustrated some operations, but i find if i take a break and come back later i end up figuring it out.

I never successfully completed surgery on Life and Death. That was partially due to it being really hard (the game didn't help you at all, just gave you the patients symptoms then said go to work) and partially due to me and my friend being immature kids who had more fun screwing around (it was the first game I ever saw blood in, for some reason as a kid thats awesome to see).

Oh and off topic, but does anyone find it funny/weird that no one has nipples in Trauma Center?!

i never thought about the nipples, but you're right lol

and yeah, i think the big Life or Death surgery was appendicitis, and that was impossible...they didn't help you enough, and if you made a very minor mistake it'd burst and you'd be done...That wasn't quite as speed oriented as Trauma Center, but required you to be a lot more exact

I finally found the rare "nintendogs best friends version" tonight at a new game store that just opened. That was the last of the games I was trying to find for my wife. Now if I can just find Phoenix Wright for me, I'll be all set.
