Re: Assassin's Creed
LOL
Don't know why but I find it rewarding to throw a drunk into a merchant cart and the cart collapse on him. Those bastards are so annoying, especially when you are trying to assassinate someone. Once I was going for the kill and a drunk pushed me into a group of 6 guards and alerted everything. One of those stupid drunks pushed me off the side of a wall and into the water when I was trying to get somewhere. Another drunk got in the way of me when I was going to assasinate someone and made the guards come after me. Then I got passed all the guards and was in the clear when one of them came out of nowhere and knocked me off of a pier. I hate them.Comment

I finally picked this one up at Ccity today. I had them price match BestBuy and then with the gamers club membership card 10% it was only $36 and change.

Nothing wrong with saving a buck. What did you pay for that Gamers Club Membership?Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed
It's normally $20 for a year, but I bought my 360 back in September and they basically gave me $20 off the system and put it towards the membership. It's a pretty good deal, I mean if you purchase more than 3 games a year it pays for itself.Goozex

Re: Assassin's Creed
LOL! Yeah, well some of them deserve it.
I was wondering how everyone is playing this game since there are many ways that you can approach the objectives and tasks. I have for the most part been doing a few of the missions in one city, will venture off to the outskirts to check for flags, etc. Then I'll head to another city and complete a few of the objectives there and so forth. I plan to try and find all the flags, etc.
I think I'm enjoying the game a bit more this way as it helps break up the same old same old formula of this game.
Sweet game, but I can see where the love/hate relationship comparisons that people are making.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed
I'm going to replay this game. I completed it last night, but I feel that there is more to the game than what I saw. I rushed through the present-day scenes, but I think those are just as important.
IMO I like how the game ended. It left me thinking.
BTW, this time around I'm going to plan my assassinations before doing them if it's possible to strike the target without facing any adversaries. And I'm going to take my time in the present-day scenes.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed
Finished the game up last night. Pretty fun game with a solid storyline, a little repetitive though but it kept me in it all the way through.
Things I would like to get fixed:
Beggars/drunks. I'm all for making the game harder but these just make it a lot more frustrating. Example, I have to assassinate five targets in five minutes. No easy task depending on guard location and what not. This happened to me yesterday, I killed all five and as I finished the fifth a drunk threw me into a group of 7 guards. Failed, restart. If you are going to keep these drunks in there have the guards kill them or arrest them if they are causing a scene. It just doesn't make sense for 3-4 of these drunks in one area in the rich district of whatever causing trouble and you get the blame if you get pushed. Poor district I would understand. And if they are going to use them, please don't put 3 beggars, 3 drunks in one area of an assassination.
Make 100% stealth missions like in Hitman. I'm a big fan of the Hitman games and I would like to see missions in here where I can do real intel work and get a stealth kill and walk away without the whole city going nuts. Every kill I got was without my target knowing and my bar full. However, on only one I got away back to bureau without anyone noticing. Maybe this isn't the way casual gamers want it but thats why they should have normal mode and "assassin" mode. If this game came with a higher level of difficulty, I would definitely play again.
AI. AI needs to be smarter, and this is where the degree of difficulty comes into play again. Why am I fighting three guards and I can see two guards clearly in their line of sight just continuing patrol? On a harder difficulty you could have been punished for being in the middle of the map causing a scene. The guards on the roof tops aren't that smart. They tell you to climb down on a continuous cycle. If the same guard tells you to go down and sees you again up top in a short time he should shoot on site without any warning.
Continuing from this I would like to see a flyer system. What I mean from this is a sketch of the assassin as he becomes more notorious throughout the cities. If you run around killing guards or innocents in the open for example, witnesses will you see and when you finish your target you will get a stealth report and a shown a picture of yourself getting clearer and clearer. When you go to other cities people and guards will recognize you quicker based on this and force you to play more stealth wise. Once again this could play into a normal mode and hard mode.
Also for those that finished the game, here is the ending explained.
Some really interesting facts.
SpoilerI had no idea Lucy was an assassin. I'm going to have to watch that cut scene at the end again.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed
Great list Altimus. Yeah, those drunks and beggars get really annoying. They would not bother me as much if they would pester everyone equally, but they don't, they ONLY bother you, and that is what upsets me. I've seen a drunk walk right past 3 other guys just to give me a shove. That is bad design right there. Makes it seem aritifical.Comment

Once though in Acre, a drunk tried to push me by the docks and missed and fell into the water. LOL That was pretty funny.Comment

Re: Assassin's Creed
I agree with your comments Altimus. I had a blast with the game, but I would like more stealth ability too. Drunks and beggers killed me on those 5 minute assassinations. I'd have 4 killed, be on the way to the 5th, and a drunk pushes me into a guard, setting off the alarm. I almost threw my controller.
I hope they can keep the running, fun climbing buildings, etc and still somehow add in a bit more stealth. The intel I gathered (I got it all) was kinda helpful, but it wasn't like you could totally stealth kill ever. I'm the type who followed the intel, cleared out my exit route, etc, but I just want a little more.
It's a great start, and the game looks amazing though. I trust Jade and the crew can keep it going strong.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
