Just finished it today. I loved the game, but I was confused about the ending. Then I saw a link in this topic that explained the ending which helped out a lot, but I have a question about Desmond's last memory

Why didn't Altair destroy the Piece of Eden? All of a sudden, the earth was shown by it, and he couldn't destroy it. And who were the three people that came up next to him at the end?

The three people that came in were the three people that you saw before heading up to the castle after fighting some of the Masyaf guards. One of them is Malik while the other two worked under Malik

Sweet, thanks jmood. I thought it was a very good game, I'm hoping with AC2 they cut down on the repetition.

I think that AC2 will be Altiar(spell?) will be in the modern world. If you read the emails on the comp, there have been reports of "crossing" between the machine and the present day.

I know I'm mad late, but I just started playing this game recently. It was a big winter, and with Rock Band, Mass Effect and Halo, I didn't have enough game time for this.

Gorgeous art direction. Great graphics, great design, and I don't even mind the Sci Fi Channel story, aside from the completely over the top acting of the evil Dr. I'm about six or seven missions into it, so the repetition hasn't irked me yet. This was a pleasant surprise all around though. This game has gotten some extremely mixed reviews, and so far for me, the truth lies somewhere in between. With the stupendous releases this year, I can't put this up there with the elite titles, but this is definitely a good game, with a few stand out features.

Wow...I just spent close to 16 straight hours playing through this game. Like many others have said, the graphics and the storyline were really solid but after a few hours of play I couldn't wait to get through the rest of the game because of the repetitiveness.

I hope they choose to add more variety to the next one because I definitely won't play it doesn't have it.

I've had this since it released, but I got sidetracked for awhile with CoD4. I had worked my way up to the second assassination, but I decided to restart the game yesterday since I really didn't remember how to play the game. Anyway, I have to say, once the game finally gets going, its really, really engrossing. The assassination investigations are a bit repetitive, but they're pretty interesting and definitely helpful when planning an assassination - its definitely satisfying just walking up to your target and stealth killing him. I have to say, though, the best part of the game is not the assassination missions, but the rest of the world in the game. I've been having a blast killing off all the Templars I have seen, killing a ton of guards, and searching high and low for flags. It kind of sucks being brought back to "reality", but I just found out that you could talk to Lucy, so that makes those parts a little bit more interesting.

I have a question about a couple of the achievements.

1) Where are there 25 guards to fight at once?
2) Exactly how do you get the Disciple of the Creed ach?
