Okay, maybe not, but I think it's an utterly brilliant little game. Can't wait to see what Valve does with it in the future. Haven't really dug into to TF2, but it's depth is surely to be in gameplay with all the classes. Valve has said they will be adding more maps for free. You would be missing out on a lot the package has to offer by not playing what is arguably the best FPS ever. I can't wait to play Episode Two, because from all the impressions it's the best experience yet with tons of wow moments. I'm going back and playing HL2 since it's been awhile and it doesn't hurt that it actually still looks pretty nice with some of the improvements. Only disappointment being the load times on the 360, they're a little longer than what I remember on the PC.

I haven't even touched HL2 or any of the episodes. Played a little TF2, games were very chaotic, and lots of kids. Didn't have much fun actually. Portal though, that game is pure crack.

EG, you should check out the SP game, its very cool.

You will have to play TF2 with friends since it relies so heavily on teamwork. I don't see many random players really caring about teamwork.

So...is this game worth it? I'm looking solely at Portal and TF2 (will start regular "Half Life 2" but probably won't finish it). The reviews make it seem that the six maps and strict gametypes per map make TF2 EXTREMELY limited in replayability, but the game does sound cool.

Map pack odds? Worth the sixty bones along with 'Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria' tomorrow? Bueller...

Six maps are plenty to get started and I read that Valve wants to supports the game with free maps. The maps are all designed perfectly for the game mode you play on them. The fact that you can play as one of 9 classes that are truly different give you tons of replayability right there. I'm already liking the MP better than Halo3 and that was playing some 4 v 4 with friends last night.

You will have to play TF2 with friends since it relies so heavily on teamwork. I don't see many random players really caring about teamwork.

Only one other person on my friends list was even playing it last night, that was Holic. Everyone else was in HL2 or Halo 3. Majority in Halo 3. I don't see TF2 holding up on XBL honestly.

I had more friends on TF2 last night. Most of us thought it was better than the Halo.

When I hopped on, I had 33 friends online. 6 of them playing Orange Box, 1 playing TF2. I was disappointed.

Myself included. The game is simple at first glance, but the maps are well designed, the different classes keep things very fresh, and the game is just a lot of fun. After we finished up with TF2 last night, I started playing Portal and couldn't stop. Really addictive and fun game all around and I haven't even explored any of the HL2 content.

I do agree that you need to know people who will play it, but I do know people who enjoy it and who will keep it in their rotation.

I played TF2 a lot last night. Love the different characters. Like how you can switch characters when you die too. Still haven't played through all the characters yet either. I'm digging the kid with the shotgun that double jumps right now. Going to try demo man and the engineer next. I prefer this over Halo also.

its the online part of the game. It's on the disk. It's nothing like the SP game. Like a 2nd game within itself.

tf2 = team fortress 2. Read some of the previous posts. There is a link that leads to descriptions and guides.
