    Re: Half-Life 2: Episode Two (360/PS3)

Until I own a PC that can run HL2 and TF2 with ease I'm gonna enjoy the 360. But yeah, I agree that everyone is going to be stuck on games like Halo and COD 4 when it comes out.

The real treat of this package is HL2 and Episode 1&2. Half-Life 2 is the best single player shooter I've ever played.

I think I'm going to trade in RB6 and GRAW2 for this one. While I love the two I'm trading in, with Halo, this, COD4, and 'Mass Effect' occupying so much time in the near future, it's likely I won't touch the two Clancy ones ever again (unless there are still folks who will play them).

this is for the TFC that's based off the PC version of the original Half Life, so I'm sure some things are slightly different, but it's a good introduction to each class.

And regardless of what it says, the Pyro was absolutely worthless in TFC. I believe they've rebalanced him for the Orange Box.

I've decided to GameFly this, and if I really like it I'll pick it up, or just keep it from GameFly. I know I'll like COD4, since the beta was a blast. Hopefully my copy makes it by next weekend, because it's really got me interested.

you'll probably get to keep it from GF for about 44.99 after the first week.

I just joined BrightSpot.tv. Basically you watch commercials every month and earn $10 off GameFly every month. So far I've yet to watch an actual commercial. I have the tab open in FireFox, browsing OS while it plays. Then answer the question and get the $$$. Shouldn't take very long to get the $10 credit every month. Might be something you're interested in. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes for my first month.

I heard that they started doing this as I was quitting Gamefly a few months back.

I just signed up, and have $4.50 in credit. So for a couple minutes, 2 days a month I can get $10 off my monthly subscription. Not a bad deal.

Now to get back on topic, I can't wait to play Half-Life 2: Orange box.

to be honest you don't need a monster pc to run the orange box. I have a athlon amd 64 3500+, 2 gb ram and ati x700 card and get about 50-60fps on CSS and tf2 beta.

If you havent played half life 2, you owe it to yourself to try it out. I personally think the story is better and more epic than halo's story.

That's a monster computer compared to my P4 1.8 ghz with 512mb ram.

Oh, I'm a old school CS and CSS player and love HL... i've got a weird problem... no hard drive space atm. So it would be buying a new HD and Orange box or just get it for the 360. Don't think the wifey would let me splurge too much atm.. i did just buy nba 2k8 and plan on getting COD4 in Nov as well.
