I finally got around to d/l the demo this weekend. I really like what they have done here and I might be picking this game up.

It is a plus that this has a good MP and SP.

      TeamXbox Review - 9.1

It’s not like Battlefield: Bad Company is everything to everyone. It’s not the best first person shooter you’ll ever play; there’s basically only one mode to multiplayer, its got some really corny writing, the color palette is sort of bland, etc., etc. But I’ll be damned if it isn’t one of the best games I’ve played this year. Focused, concise and pure in its delivery of big explosions and exciting action, Bad Company is a gem of good game design and the best Battlefield game I’ve played since the original.

Developer DICE should be commended for hitting the nail on the head. Like the best games, I want to overlook its flaws for the sheer awesomeness of the rest of it. Battlefield games are historically purely multiplayer affairs, setting teams of gamers playing specific roles in objective-based team-oriented games. That’s not really a new concept, but one that the series overall has been honing and perfecting for years. Bad Company is the culmination of that, with a pretty compelling single player game thrown in for good measure.

          More Reviews.

          Eurogamer Review - 8

Set across seven sprawling campaign missions, the single player portion of Bad Company is an unexpected treat. Building on the sense of open-ended freedom we've come to expect from the Battlefield series for years, DICE has finally managed to distill all the good ideas of its multiplayer-focused titles to often breathtaking effect. The key weapon in distinguishing Bad Company from the legion of samey first person shooters is evidently its beautiful and versatile Frostbite engine. By offering the level designers immense scope in so many areas, it's the first shooter to emerge in a long time that demonstrates a significant evolution of the genre.
Once you've experienced the various highs and lows that Bad Company has to offer, it feels like an immensely polished, ambitious effort that will build up a strong following for all the right reasons. The single player portion, while never less than hugely entertaining, stops short of true greatness thanks to a few fundamental design shortcuts which offer easy health restoring concepts seemingly at the expense of balanced AI. Some of this is irrelevant in the online mode, and the profound implications of a massively destructible environment make it a unique proposition in online gaming right now - albeit a riotous chaotic one. Riccitiello needn't have worried.

          Gamespy - 4.5/5

Bad Company's real appeal lies in a confluence of innovations that may not be immediately apparent. Despite this being the freshman effort by seasoned PC developer DICE to build a single-player campaign with a genuine narrative, the plot and characters are surprisingly rich and, most importantly, decidedly different from those of the FPS games that it resembles. And as opposed to being strictly cosmetic, the ability to skeletonize structures has actual impact on gameplay that carries through to the multiplayer, enhancing the entire experience by offering unique tactical options. And that single Attack/Defend multiplayer mode is not the least bit restrictive due to the variation found in class composition and the wealth of extremely well-tuned maps.
Battlefield: Bad Company may look like other FPSes on the market in terms of theme and graphics, but there are enough key gameplay differences to set it apart from the crowd. One could easily say that Bad Company expands the genre itself with its combination of great story, destructible environment and surprisingly deep single-mode multiplayer. Throw in DICE's promises of future (free) content and this is one game that just might meet your wildest desires for both blowing things up and online competition.
          1UP Review - B

When raspy- and robotic-sounding players on Xbox Live hear inbound artillery, they know to get to a house's bottom floors before the roof is blasted off and anything beneath it is blown away. Henpecked by sharpshooting, they deforest a sniper's blind; cornered, they demolish a back wall and beat their retreat. Developer DICE dodges the trap it's laid for itself (i.e., games devolving into grenade-launcher duels) by reducing splash damage. Unless it detonates in his face, a single explosive shell stands a greater chance of dazing an enemy than killing him outright -- one smart move among the many (such as inspired map design) that make Bad Company a very good multiplayer game.
          Game Informer - 9.25

The extreme polish evident in the final product makes it all worthwhile. Both single- and multiplayer shine - at long last redeeming DICE for the crappy bot-fests offline players had to endure in previous games in the series.
          Gameplanet - 9

Bad Company is an action-packed, vehicle-ridden, explosive-charged FPS which really packs a punch. Deformable environments and a vast array of vehicles to command, as well as ********* single-player and multiplayer make for great bang for your buck. This is certainly no one trick pony and any downfalls are more than made up for.

Not surprised by the scores. I've had a blast with the Demo over the past two weeks, and I'm not even tired of it...and that's just with one level and minimal leveling up. I can't wqait to get my copy tomorrow and dig into all the other MP maps.

This game has officially killed my COD4 addiction.

For people who have played the demo and own a copy of the full game; Is it very polished and different from the demo itself? And what are some neat added online features, if any?

Hopefully we get some impressions today on this game. I was reading a few over at PlanetBattlefield and it seems like the game turned out to be good. Both the Eurogamer and TeamXbox reviews sounded good too. With this and Aerosmith over the weekend, I may have to trade in a few games to cheapen up the price on these.

Not sure yet, I was leaning towards the 360 version on this one, but still undecided. Are you getting it for the PS3?

Yep, I'm Gameflying it though and buying it right away. I have some coupons and they sell their games extra cheap from the get go. Plus the 10% off it should be somewhere around $30 for me. I won't have it till Saturday though.

How cheap do they sell their new games for? If you rent the game once and decide to keep it, before coupons what do they charge?

Are you getting your games fast, I remember for me it was like torture waiting for a darn game to ship, etc.
