      Re: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

This is most definitely an addictive game. The past couple of nights I've been having a balst teaming up with my 6 year old son.

I am really hoping to find the skirmish modes that were in XML2. Being able to play as some of the bad guys would be a blast. DId anyone notice that when you start Wolverines mission that it says something about points not counting if you are the enemy? Maybe that measn we play that way at some point?

The one tihng I am dissappointed in is the limits on playable characters. I know why Hulk is not included, but I still hate it. How stupid (or greedy) is Marvel to allow one of their characters be exclusicely licensed for games? I also detest the platform specific charaters. Being on the Xbox, I'm missing out on Moon Knight, Colossus, Hawkeye, and Captain Marvel.

Here the four top characters I wish were playable:

Vision: His powers are unique, and it would be a blast being able to reach into enemies chests and "disrupt" their insides

Hawkeye: Why, why why make him exclusive to the PSP? Again, fairly unique powers, and he'd be great for a West Coast Avengers team.

Hulk: Duh. Plus, he would complete a Defenders team.

Tough call, but I'd say Namor. Team him with Cap and Torch and you'd have an Invaders team.

I can't wait to play with DeadPool.

I had no idea he was even going to be in the game.

          Re: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Echoing what others have said, this is a very addictive game. The first single-player game in a long time that can keep me up at night playing it before I look at the clock and realize how late it is. I'm only up to the start of the Atlantis mission but the game is really great so far.

Right now my team consists of Spider-Man (my favorite superhero ever), Deadpool, Luke Cage, and Iron Man. Luke Cage is a beast! The power he has where he can make everyone attack him and reduce their damage is really sweet if there are a lot of enemies on screen at once. I'm also really happy with how unique the heroes feel - one of my complaints about the XML games is that tank builds all kind of felt the same, ranged builds all kind of felt the same, etc. But the characters in this game and their powers all feel unique and different to me.

My only regret is that Namor and the Hulk aren't playable so I can reconstruct the original Defenders. Otherwise, the game is awesome.
          Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
Dash: [muttering] Which is another way of saying no one is.

Deadpool is incredibly fun to play with, and I've been using him the entire time. I want to try and get most of his abilities to be fully-powered, so he's going to be my main character for the entire time.

In XML 2 you could teleport others with him. I can't seem to do it in this one unless my powers are too low. Have you been able to do it Longhorn?

Buy some health or defense points for his suits. (If he has anyone which he should)

Ok so that's what Deadpool was doing when I hit Y twice. I know hardly anything about comics, other than the main ones, never go into it as a kid. I've been using Deadpool most of the time, just thought he would be a cool one to play as.

Is he involved with the Black Widow in the past? When I had him talk to her, there was a different dialog than with other characters.

Colossus has been fine for me, I love picking guys up and then using them to kill others.

Yep, he has a teleportation belt. In XML 2 you could have grabbed someone and teleported them with you. Doesn't look like you can this year. Yeah I don't remember them two crossing paths in the comics, I may be wrong though. I know Weasel is his weapon supplier and buddy.
