Kinda frustrated with the strum bar since I'm used to the GH guitar, so I may end up picking up another one. Also, it kinda sucks that they don't show you streaks during the song and stats at the end of a song like GH. I always enjoy seeing how I've done throughout a song.

Other than that, I'm having a blast.
cool, I hope you like it. I was disappointed too that it didn't have the streaks and stuff, but I do like that you can see your star progression in RB. The fact that stars are solely based on points in RB is a little weird since you can wrap up a 5-star pretty early in a song sometimes if you hit the energy notes at the right time.

The star progression is a great addition to this genre. Nothing like the added pressure of seeing how close you are to 5-staring a song with only a little left to play.

Have any of you guys ever had to travel with Rock Band, maybe to a family member or friends house? I was wondering what might be the best way to pack all of this back up, since there's so much stuff.

I'm taking my 360 as well as Rock Band over. It's gonna end up taking my whole truck, lol.

You aren't kidding either. I was playing Black Hole Sun last night and it took me til the very last note before I hit 5 star.

If I was just wanting to get an extra guitar, would this be the best option for me? I'm wanting a guitar that's got a better strum bar.

Best way to do it is to put it all back in the original box. I took it to a friends house over the holidays, and I was glad to put in the original box. It gave me enough space to put my 360 inside, as well as it kept everything together (which helps losing things) Plus the box is alot easier to carry, than carrying piece by piece.

In case you didn't realize, make sure to disassemble the equipment first.

I love it how your so close to a 5-star performance, yet the song is about to end.. then all of a sudden you see the rock out segment at the end.. Going crazy trying to get as much points as you can (bass pedal notes are worth alot more) then all of a sudden, before you can blink.. the final notes comes up.. you hit them.. then you see the star spin to a complete 5-stars!

Or when you crazy at the last part and then get so caught up in it that you miss the last note.

not sure if this has been asked yet, but can anyone confirm that the guitar hero 3 wireless guitar for 360 works with rock band for 360?

I did that tonight, and it worked out great. It cracked me up when I brought it in and thought to myself "I never thought I'd use this much energy for a video game, lol"

Had a blast though. No question I'll be getting another/better guitar. I just don't feel comfortable playing this one.

I bought this guitar as my extra guitar and some of my friends who have used it like it better than the Rock Band guitar because it seems that the strum bar is more responsive and the fret buttons easier to push. I'm used to the Rock Band guitar, so I can play either one.

Yeah, the rockout segment is crazy. I always try to stop jamming out in time to hit the last notes, but sometimes I cant get my fingers back in the right spot and end up f'ing it up. So frustrating!
