I talked to a guy on the phone because it was telling me the wrong part was broken on my drums online, lol. He said I'd get an e-mail, but I never did. I'm assuming the e-mail is essential in the whole process?

I just know there is a charge on my credit card that is gonna piss me off if this thing isn't shipped.

That kinda sucks but thanks for the reply.

I just got the check so I'm thinking about getting RB after work and holding off on Guitar Hero III for a while.

I ordered my new drumpads with the express delivery option last week and received them today. Cool. Would have probably received them earlier but because of New Year's, I'm sure it was slightly delayed.

I just contacted them today again because I need a new bass pedal now as well (since mine broke while waiting for my new pads). I again chose the Express delivery and find it odd that the $125 hold applies to just the bass pedal too. I can understand the drumpads, but $125 for just the pedal? Sounds steep. lol.

I'm playing on Hard on drums, and he's on Expert on guitar.

I'm about to make the leap to Expert as soon as I get my new pedal.

Any tips for drumming on hard and/or expert. I'm kind of getting stuck on those levels.

Just a lot of practice, dude. Once it all clicks up top that three of your limbs are independent and don't have to move at the same time, you're golden. Go into practice mode on harder songs and slow things down if you need to, then once you feel like you've got the rhythm, speed things back up.

Im debating on this or Guitar Hero 3. The only thing that keeps me away is I just moved and live far away from my friends and family. So only like once a month if that would I have people over to play. Is it still a blast 1 player? I almost want to buy it just for partys. I do have Guitar Hero 2 so the other way would be to get Guitar Hero 3 and have 2 player battles..

                  Any suggestions..?

I'd get rock band. You have more variety. Drums are a blast.

I haven't touched Guitar Hero 3 since I got Rock Band. I actually traded in GH3 because of this. Rock Band is made for the group experience but can be every bit as fun by yourself.

                        I'd go with Rock Band.

I'd probably go with Rock Band over GH if I could only get one. I think Guitar Hero is a more polished game, the guitar is a higher quality, but it has had 3 previous game releases, but I guess the makers of Rock Band were the one behind those previous releases so that might not be a good reason. But I also think the guitar gameplay is better on GH. That said, Rock Band pretty much offers the same thing as GH in its solo tour mode. You play through all the songs just like you do in Guitar Hero, but it just isn't as challenging.

Rock Band's real strength is the addition of the drums and mic, and it's Band World Tour mode. If you enjoy music, Rock Band is one of the best games you could own if you can play with at least one more person.

Rock Band's downloadable content is way better than Guitar Hero's IMO, but if you don't plan on buying the extra content, I think GH has the better setlist. If you think you'll enjoy playing the drums as much or more than the guitar, get Rock Band as well.

It's going to be hard to get bored with Rock Band.

I started on Medium with the guitar and beat every song with 5 stars (Yes I suck)

Then I moved on to the drums and beat every song with 5 stars on Easy just to get the drumming down.

I then went up to Hard on guitar and struggled to get through songs but now I have beat about half of the songs.

Basically, I had RockBand and GH for about a month.

I was bored with GH because I hit my ceiling.

With Rockband, I have the guitar to get better at, drum levels of Medium and Hard to still master, and haven't even started on singing (which I am actually good at even at Expert)

I am also going through every song individually playing the bass. I'm starting at hard because it seems easier than regular guitar.

Got Rock Band last night and I'm loving it.

Kinda frustrated with the strum bar since I'm used to the GH guitar, so I may end up picking up another one. Also, it kinda sucks that they don't show you streaks during the song and stats at the end of a song like GH. I always enjoy seeing how I've done throughout a song.

Other than that, I'm having a blast.
