Couple of questions here. Im contemplating getting either GH3 or Rock Band. Id like to get both and minimize my costs, hence the questions.

First off, is one system better than the other? (i have PS3 and 360)

Is GH guitar compatible with RB? Is RB guitar compatible with GH? Id obvioulsy like to only buy one guitar and use for both.

If i get GH 3, can i buy just GH2 or Gh 80's and use the same guitar? Is it backwards compatible (both software and hardware?)

Ultimately id like to buy RB and then just buy game for GH3, and GH 80's, is that possible?

It gets confusing. The RB Guitar will not work with the GH games. The GH Guitar will with RB, but only on the 360, not the PS3.

Thanx to Rock Band i am addicted to Coheed and Cambria. Has anyone else get hooked onto an artist from playing Rock Band or GH?

Bang Camaro. I liked Push Push from GH2, but Pleasure (Pleasure) is excellent. Since then, I have gotten their album and plan to see them on March 5th.

Coheed is excellent, their entire catalog is fantastic and they are really great live.

Ok, I've been playing online the past few nights to try and get some of the online achievements and people are absolutely killing me on the big rock endings. What is the best way to max points? I've lost at least 5 matchups due to people getting 6,000 points and I do my best to get 4.

Ok, I've been playing online the past few nights to try and get some of the online achievements and people are absolutely killing me on the big rock endings. What is the best way to max points? I've lost at least 5 matchups due to people getting 6,000 points and I do my best to get 4.

I've personally have had the most success just mashing the hell out of the solo buttons using the Rock Band guitar.

Just noticed that...Awesome.

I FINALLY got 100% on I Am Paranoid on Expert Guitar. Took me nearly the whole night cause I always found someway to mess up. Perfection does not come easy but I'll take the 10 achievement points and a 4,474 Ranking.

We should start a daily/weekly point challenge for solo scores, keep a posting of the finishes and make it like a circuit or something with points for each weeks rankings.

I just mash the solo buttons. I use my 4 fingers to hit the green, red, yellow, and blue and my right index finger to hit the orange. I've got 10,000 on certain songs.

This may be a dumb question, but when you come up to the section that allow drum fills (in middle of songs), does the sound from the speakers register what you hit on the drums or does it fill with the pre-recorded master sound, so no matter what you hit, you hear what the recorded drummer plays
