Re: Harmonix's Rock Band now with Impressions

I played this game with a friend for the first time on Saturday night. What a blast! The drums are tough (even on Easy). I can't believe I went this long without playing it.

Now I am trying to talk my wife into forming a band with me. Since my birthday is about a week away, I'm starting the full-court press now. My only concern is when I will be able to play since most gaming time comes when our boys are sleeping. I would think the drums would be too loud. And when I'm going to play Rock Band....I wanna ROCK!

    Great game though!

        It's really an intriguing proposition.
I think nearly $15 is high, though. However, I know of 5 songs and maybe a 6th that I'd love to have. But by the time I buy those I might as well get the whole thing!

I'll probably get at least a couple songs.

Of course, I have to wait until Thursday...

Actually, this isn't a bad song but I can't understand a single word she's saying. I enjoy the sound of it though.

Been awhile since I listened to the whole album. Didn't think it aged too well. But I will look at some of the videos tomorrow to verfiy the few I want.

Thanks a lot man! It's just what I was looking for. I think I may have to show this to the Mrs. tonight. Now, I just need to convince my wife to start a band with me in the Man Cave.

So I broke my drum set the other day. I'm sure this has happened to some of you guys. How to I go about getting it fixed?

                      Go here:

You can choose 2 options in getting an exchange.

First option is to get a box mailed out to you, then you take your equipment, throw it in the box and ship it back. Then they'll ship you out a new one. This takes fairly long, 2-3 weeks, possibly more.

Second option is to give a $125 dollar deposit, then they'll ship out the new equipment along witha return box. Return your old equipment, then they'll refund the deposit. This takes about a week or so to get the new equipment, but about a month, at least for me, to get the deposit back.

I'd suggest that you check your guitar and see if it's also close to breaking. I made the mistake of having to do 2 returns, which seemed like it took forever for both to complete. Sucked to have to wait so long to get back on Tour.

My guitar is having problems (strummer is loose, whammy bar doesn't work most of the time, disconnection messages come up while it's connected). We're going to Europe for 2 1/2 weeks in July so I'm going to send it back right before we leave. How does EA ship the new one to you? I don't want it sitting on the porch for a couple days in between friends checking on our house.

It comes back UPS, and mine had to be signed for.

Good to know. Thanks. If it comes back while we're gone, I'll just have to pick it up at UPS.

Ready to get your head spinning? This week are we really covering the spread. First we have a three pack of songs from Jimmy Buffett for $1.99 each (160 Microsoft Points) or $5.49 (440 Microsoft Points) for the pack. Jimmy Buffett rerecorded the three songs for exclusive use in Rock Band, turns out he really digs the game.

Also along for the ride this week is the long-awaited Disturbed three-pack of songs from their new album INDESTRUCTIBLE. Best Buy recently announced they are partnering with MTV Games and Hamonix to offer Disturbed fans the opportunity to download two free tracks from the band’s highly anticipated new album, INDESTRUCTIBLE. By pre-ordering the album at www.BestBuy.com/disturbed, fans will receive instructions to download title track “Indestructible” and “Inside The Fire” for Rock Band from Xbox Live. Both of those songs will also be available to all Rock Band owners on 360 and PS3 along with a third track from the album "Perfect Insanity". Each Disturbed track will be available for $.99 per track (80 Microsoft Points) for a limited time, or $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points) for the three pack.

                                Tracks are as Follows-

"Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Cheeseburger in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Volcano" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
                                "Indestructible" by Disturbed (master)
"Inside the Fire" by Disturbed (master)
