GG&HT is one of those songs I always play, then question why I decided to play it after I get done. The part during the solo is pretty easy, but my gosh does it get tiring.

Yeah, the song was pretty damn fun to play...but then, once it's over, the pain is almost not worth it.

I hate the ****ing song. LOL. I wanted to throw my drumsticks at least 5 times trying to beat it on Hard.

However, another difficult song "Blackened" is a song I love, but got extremely frustrated a couple (several) times when I couldn't conquer it on Hard. No matter what, I still love the song, but GG&HT is not exactly my favorite song.

I love GG&HT. It's definitely a marathon, but it's great when you make it to the end.

The score and streak are personal highs for me on drums.

Damn I am ****ing tired from that song.
            Thats gross. End of Story.

I came pretty close to 5-starring Highway Star (on the drums) earlier. I had the 5th star about 2/3 full.

Also, Junkies For Fame is pretty damn fun to play. I've played it a lot already.

GGAHT is a good song, just long. I love the guitar solo, but i BARELY survive it every time.

Thanks. I didn't realize they had this one. I'll probably pick this up since it has an extra pedal with it. It'd be nice to have a backup.

Man, you guys are making me jealous. I haven't gotten to play my RB drums in several days now. I hit a personal high on And Justice for All (95% Expert) just before I left. I hope I didn't get scrubby in my time off, lol.

Impressive. The Metallica songs are very challenging. I tried Blackened on medium last night and failed miserably. I am far from an accomplished drummer, but nothing on medium has ever posed too big of a problem for me.

I still haven't even TRIED Blackened, lol. I know that the bass drum leg has to be up to snuff for that, so I'm working on it with other songs before I try to tackle that behemoth. I'll say, if you can nail And Justice for All, that is by far my favorite song to play in the game. It's tiring, and high energy, but I get chills down my spine during the transition from the slowing down part back into the melodic part.

It's HARD to get your bass leg faster, lol. The hand skills can come quickly, and are pretty easy to practice, but for me the bass leg gets tired so early on that it's difficult to see progress as quickly. That's why I'm hoping I didn't lose too much. The bass leg was finally giving me some love, lol. I'd hate to go back to struggling to nail those double beats on Epic. If I do, I guess I'll just have to play a lot to compensate!

Yeah I love ...and Justice for All. I don't think I've tried it yet on drums. I gave it a whirl on expert guitar once and fell apart during the solo. I think I could do it with a little more practice. Considering how much I love Metallica, I don't know why I haven't played the songs more.

Tried "...and Justice for All" on hard on the drums today. Was actually pretty fun but my arm was freaking tired from that one part with the yellows.

Continuing my daily GGaHT "once or twice a day on expert/hard" routine...got my percentage up to a 95% on expert, and got my score up to 426,717 on hard.

Now I'm just going for the gold stars on hard. I'm assuming you need to either get a 100% or score about 450k. I think they're both going to be impossible.

EDIT: Tried it on hard again because I'm obsessed...didn't break my score record, but did acquire a new longest streak...I'm now up to 1497, which were the first 1497 notes of the song. Lost my streak on an incredibly dumb miss and then lost my timing on a brief spot during the second solo. Ended up with a 99% still...but damnit I am pissed.

GGHT is the song where I really noticed how much my stamina had improved on the drums. It took me half a dozen tries or so to get through it on Medium, mainly because I was running out of gas toward the end. By the time it rolled around on the Hard tour I blew right through it on the first try while barely breaking a sweat.
