Was this just announced? I don't really keep up with announcements because I'm usually disappointed - but Toxicity is awesome. BYOB I like as a song, but I get a feeling the Verse is just going to be too complicated. Things like that are so easy to play on guitar, but so complicated in games like.

Yeah, they announce the next weeks DLC at 2pm EST on Fridays.

This game has basically killed my interest in GHWT. There are just so many songs available, and the world tour modes sound basically the same. With so much more content, I just don't see how GHWT could possibly end up being better than RB. It has the GH name going for it and that's about it.

This game has basically killed my interest in GHWT. There are just so many songs available, and the world tour modes sound basically the same. With so much more content, I just don't see how GHWT could possibly end up being better than RB. It has the GH name going for it and that's about it.

When I play GH now, I feel like I'm playing a child's game. From the little flimsy guitar to the huge round circles and graphics. It's weird - even looked at GH:WT, it just doesn't look very nice. Rock Band has really spoiled me.

This is pretty cool, and atleast for me, glad to see PATD will get some DLC after the RB2 release. I'd be tempted to go to see them in St Louis and also witness people playing on a stage in front of so many people.

Part of the appeal of games like Rock Band is that you can play like you're in a band without actually having to go on-stage and risk mass humiliation. Of course, there are those who can't see the line separating failing a song in front of three friends and failing a song in front of 10,000 strangers. For them, MTV has created the Rock Band Live Tour.

Kicking off on October 5 in San Diego, CA, the tour is headlined by Panic at the Disco and Dashboard Confessional, and, as the press release happily exclaims, "possibly you!" Pre-concert Rock Band 2 competitions will be held by local radio stations, national contests, and on-site at each venue, the winners of which will "perform" on-stage in-between sets by opening acts Plain White T's and The Cab. (In addition, MTV has announced that tracks from all of the acts on the tour "minus you!" will be made available in a post-launch DLC pack for Rock Band 2.)

Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carraba is quoted in the release, saying, "I'm practicing my Rock Band drumming. With any luck I'll win a spot on stage to show what I can really do." Har-har! Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10:00am local time on Friday, August 8. Check out the full schedule of stops after the break.

I literally haven't touched the guitar since getting into the drums on this game. I used to be a guitar god in the days of GH and GH2 (GH3 is for fools.). I picked up the guitar yesterday, and I'm insanely rusty.

That's what happens though when you play the drums on this game every day since release though.

I'm in the same boat. I'm sure I could still play guitar on Expert, but there's no telling how rusty I'd be. I haven't played a song in about a month, probably more. That's what happens when you get addicted to the drums ... and hate the RB guitar.

Man, I'm so impressed by how you guys can keep playing Green Grass over and over. Me and my friends hate that song so much, lol. It feels like the most indulgent and repetitive guitar soloing ever. Both times I got through that song on Expert, I vowed never to play it again, lol.

I can only play it on drums because it's a good song to build up my stamina and test my progress. I'd say if I was playing it on guitar or bass...I'd barely play it, but for some reason it is very fun on drums for me.

That same thing happened to me. I got into the drums and totally stopped playing the guitar. I might come out of retirement to try and five star Hey Oh though.
