I still haven't gotten past "Raining Blood" or "One" on expert. I've managed to finally pass mosh 1 on "raining blood" so I'll probably be able to beat that at some point soon. However, "one's" fast solo A just gets me every time. I seriously have no idea how I'm going to get past it.

I must totally suck. I can't even 5 star "Raining Blood" on easy. It's the one song I can't. So far, medium seems tougher than GH, GH II, and Rocks the 80s too. I probably need to figure out how to do hammer ons and pull offs too. That might help.

I Agree, and yeah, the hammer ons and pull offs are a huge help.

Especially at the higher levels. Going through Cult of Personality's solos without strumming is so much fun.

I finally passed Knights of Cydonia on Hard. It took me about 30 tries over a week, I kept failing at 80%. Now I need to get passed Before I Forget; that intro and then into the 3 note chords kills me.

I agree, Medium was definitely harder than GHII. I actually went back to GHII over the weekend to see if I could be passed Jessica on Hard and I owned it. I am definitely starting to get the finger slide.

That finger slide is very, very important. Especially if you want to be able to play Cliffs of Dover.

And I finally got past "One" on expert and just missed passing "Raining Blood" as I failed at 91% without using any starpower. I'm thinking I should have this game beat in, at most, 2 days.

Just got this game a couple days ago for my birthday. I always sucked at GH 1 and 2. And by that, I mean that I couldn't complete 20% of a song on Medium without failing. But for some reason, I am addicted to this game. I can't stop playing it (well thats not entirely true, because of CoD 4).

I don't even really like rock music, but this game has made me enjoy many of the songs.

I can't wait to get better and move up to Hard, and maybe someday to Expert.

Great game overall. Just a blast to play.

Progress Report: Stalled on Welcome to the Jungle - Expert (more because of what I'm going to mention next than not physically being able to pass it)

Hard - Completed, mostly 4 stars, some 5's but all 3's on the last tiers. Hard level was my first playthrough.

Medium - 5 stars on all the career songs. Raining Blood was even a pain in the *earmuffs* here.

Easy (don't laugh, I was bored - plus I wanted the groupies ) - Through the Slash battle, all but 3 full comboed and those were stupid mistakes. I plan to finish this tonight, possibly while I sleep.

Question for you guys - Is 5 starring a difficulty more gratifying to you than beating a higher level (in my case, 5 stars on Medium, but only beaten Hard). For some reason I'm happier to show off the Jolly Roger than Rojimbo...

You'll get past it eventually. On expert, I was stalled on Cult of Personality for about 5 tries but can pass it without any starpower now. Then it was One and Raining Blood (which I did without star power) that I couldn't get past. Now I just need to beat Lou and then go and 5 star everything.

And I find it more gratifying to beat a higher level than to 5* a lower level.

Beating a higher level, harder song. 5 Starring something like medium is a piece of cake, heck, I've got 100% on GH 2 on medium from when I first got it and started on Medium because I never played it.

The boss battle songs are now available on Live. And yes, they're free.

PS3 isn't up yet, but they haven't updated the store yet today.

Just saw a video of DWDTG - absolutely sick. Both parts on one track, like they did with Freebird. Almost no breaks unlike the actual boss battle.

I will be shocked if I ever touch the boss battles again. DWDTG is just not fun to play.
