I absolutely hated the layout of this game compared to fallout new Vegas. The subway part of the game was a horrible design decision with the map being so bad.

I disagree completely. I thought the subways were excellent and I like wandering the wasteland a lot more than the Majove Desert.

I wouldn't of minded it so much if like I said the map didn't blow. I hated trying to get somewhere only to go all the way through a subway system to find it blocked or take me the totally wrong area. Not to mention Fallout 3's color scheme that had every tint of grey imaginable in it. Oasis was by far one of my favorite areas to be at because of more colors.

agreed. Subway straight up sucks. btw im also playing this after playing New Vegas.

I don't mean to necro this thread, but I've been playing this recently. Went back for some achievements I missed, and I'm really enjoying another playthrough after 2-3 years. The writing still holds up, and

Also, finally finding all those Alien Recordings was freaking horrible...

I've been thinking about buying this and plowing through it. I made my way through a good portion of the story, but didn't spend much time outside of that or exploring when I first had it.
