    Re: Fallout 3

I was so frustrated at this game trying to do the Galaxy News Radio Quest. I thought I had searched all the ways to get there and hit a brick wall, when actually I just missed a hallway while questing. Had to take a longer, much more challenging route.

I was so mad because I kept dying...but I finally made it.

I better finish before January, so I can take little breather from this game, then come back fresh for the new stuff.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

          Re: Fallout 3

Fallout 3 is one of the few games I've ever finished. I mostly did the main quests, and it took me around 40 hours. I'm gonna have to go back and load from earlier in the game to play more of the side quests. Game of the Year, definitely in the top 5 best games I've ever played.

            Re: Fallout 3

I've got to see what level I'm on (probably default), but using unarmed with Power Fist (fisto!) and unarmed points around 60 (I'm level 4 I think) I'm just VATS one shotting a lot of raiders with ease (some take 4ish hits, like super ants or whatever)...Think this is good/normal? I may up it to make it more difficult, but that could suck if it's too tough, I'm wondering if I just have to get used to the unarmed/up close combat.

Side question about when the end is in my other char:

Newb here folks. I started out and its hard to comeo buy monsters/folks to kill and level up. Any suggestions?

I have a rule with RPGs, in that I try to level up twice or more before the main quest begins. It gives me an advantage in the game moving forward, at least in my eyes.

I would suggest subways and the school right near the start. The bad guys come..It's supposed to be sparse in both people and supplies. Once you start finding buildings/towns you will find they usually have tunnels and enough bad guys to keep you busy.

I would recommend being a level 12+ before you tackle the story..Only because the story could be over before you even scrape the surface of this game if you do it too soon.

If you find a major road, you can follow it and almost always find some encounters.

Craterside Supply in Megaton is always a very good starting sidequest to level up and have some explore while you travel to your quest locations.

This game is one of the best games I've played in years. Even with its faults (the "broken robot part" glitch in Big Town), there's just something about the environment, the dialogue, the "little things", if you will, that just makes me want to keep playing. For example, I can't stop listening to GNR, and the 40's era music really gives the game an ironic aspect not seen (or heard?) by listening to the original orchestral score. This is how you immerse your audience.

People have been complaining about the glitching, but I haven't seen any major, major stuff on my front. Just some weird NPC and graphics issues. The "broken robot parts" glitch, as said above, is almost unforgivable, though. But by no means is it gamebreaking. Hope they find a fix soon.

I think part of it was that you couldn't do the quest where you have to fix the robots in Big Town, though I think there is more to it then that.

This is definitely one of the top 5 console games, I've ever played. Still in the top 10 when I count PC games. I'm 60 hours in, I guess I'm gonna start working toward finishing the story now.
