    Couple more videos.

    Single-Player Montage

    Multiplayer Montage

Earlier today we brought you some off-screen single player video thanks to our pals at IGN, and now we have a great looking multiplayer montage captured as people enjoyed it at the Games Conference in Leipzig.

We must say, the game looks MUCH better than it did during the multiplayer beta. See for yourselves below...

I knew Sandtrap would be big, but damn. The multiplayer graphics are definitely a notch above the BETA. Love the lighting on Sandtrap. The lighting and shadowing is top notch in the game. Tsavo Highway looks epic. The people that went to the IMAX preview said there was a part with at least 30 enemies, tons of vehicles, and Covenant Cruisers and Banshees flying in the distance, I wish we could get a video of that. 4 player online co-op is going to be insanely fun.

I can't wait for this to drop.

I haven't been following it at all, have stores started taking pre-orders yet? Heck, is it too late to pre-order by now?!

              Replay Footage

We want to thank Microsoft, Bungie and most of all Brian Jarrad for the awesome exclusivity we just landed since we managed to shoot the 17 minutes long presentation of the single player part of Halo 3. This is the first part that's just supposed to be a small sample of the good stuff to come as soon as we make sure our servers are not melting. It showcases the incredible replay feature on the Tsavo Highway level you've all come to know and love already. Have fun

                Replay Sample

                Replay Feature Part 1

                Single Player Part 1

                Single Player Part 2

Game was being played on Normal for demo purposes, this difficulty and Easy isn't recommended for experienced Halo players. You will encounter more enemies on the higher levels too. The Brute Chieftain diving out of the way and another Brute beside him doing a spin move to not get run over by the Warthog looked cool. The Covenant Cruiser flying above was crazy. The vehicle sections are more wide open like in Halo CE. Replay feature is going to be awesome. The feature set in Halo 3 is incredible.

                More videos coming soon.

Yeah, same. I don't want to be without a copy on day uno. This game looks flat out ridiculous, its gonna be a blast.

Must see video of map editing features in Halo 3,

Imagine the variations and possibilities being able to edit and then play any of the maps. Or even changing the environment during a game if you want to. Wow.

Forge is really going to be awesome. One of the multiplayer lead designers created Rocket Race using Forge; a race game with checkpoints and rocket launchers on mongooses with 300% shields.

Looks like the UNSC Hornet will be in multiplayer and it looks bad ***. It's from a saved film somebody created while playing Halo 3 Epsilon, which is code that is close to the final build.

Still not hyped about Halo 3. I'm sure I'll get it sometime but it's not a must own on day one for me. Wierd because After Halo 1, I really wanted Halo2. Guess the disappointment of Halo 2 has me being "eh" with Halo 3. Now I say this yet I'll be in line release day. I suck.
The co-op mode has me very interested though. We'll see.

Halo 3 is now 100% complete. Bungie employee Frank O'Connor was spotted playing the final retail build of Halo 3 today suggesting the game has now gone gold exactly one month before release.

Halo 3 will be available in the USA on September 25th and September 26th for Europe.

Two New Halo 3 Maps Shown at PAX

As Penny Arcade Expo 2007 was winding down on Sunday night, the majority of the attendees were watching the final round of the Omegathon, the multi-part game competition held at the show every year. The battle royale may have kicked off with the decidedly old-school Jenga, but it ended with a huge bang. The crowd erupted when we learned that we'd be seeing two brand-new maps from the upcoming Halo 3. While we've all known about Guardian and Narrows for a little while now, being able to actually see them for ourselves was quite a thrill.

The first map we saw was Guardian, which is actually the "spiritual successor" to the classic Lockout map from Halo 2. The big difference is the fact that Guardian takes place in a dank, dark jungle setting, while the original was centered on a brightly-lit snowscape. It appeared that this was a special version of the map (perhaps it was altered with Forge? Hmmm?), as it featured a ton of the game's super-powerful weapons, including the flamethrower and the Brute Hammer. Of course, the fact that the map that was played was called "Omeguardian" also tipped us off a little bit.

The match concluded with a quick battle on Narrows, which was actually a little smaller than many of us expected. You can use man-cannons to launch yourself (or a Mongoose, as one of the combatants did) all the way across the map, although seemed to be a bit safer to stick to the two bridges. There's one very wide bridge on the top level, with a narrower one directly underneath it. Alas, the match went quite fast as the winner only needed to get five kills.

Another highlight was getting to see the Fuel Rod Cannon in action. This Covenant weapon packs one helluva punch, and we can't wait to try it for ourselves!
