I cant aim at all in this game. I really dont understand how I can unload a clip into someone and they still dont go down. The default gun is worthless.

That's exactly how I feel. My aim is hideous. I played Halo 2 (online) maybe twice. So, I'm not familiar with the weapons etc.

I'm learning though. Last night, I became more familiar with the maps, began to better understand what weapon is most beneficial and most importantly, use the radar.

I have found that to be good at this game you only have to master firing a gun while jumping. Everyone jumps around like damn rabbitts.

And thats what I hate the most about this game, the freakin jumpin...so gay!!!

Can any of you Halo fanatics lay down some beginner tips? What about the guns, is there a site or can someone list the guns from most powerful to wimpish?

The only way I can get kills is to hide out and snipe like a sissy, thats no fun.

Me and the Battle Rifle met last night, if I could only aim. Better yet, if only some of the flying fairies would stay on the ground long enuff...LOL.

I love the people that jump. I know exactly how they will fall so it's an easy grenade + burst with whatever gun I have.

People who jump are easy kills.

If they're good, it can be an advantage. Aside from that, I just hate the whole style. It's annoying, it looks stupid, and it takes away from my enjoyment of the games.

Except for me. I've mastered the one-jump with the assault rifle. I can't do the bunny-trick where you just keep jumping, though, or I might as well just stand still and let someone kill me.

You just kill me every other time with the laser, or a sniper, or a melee attack.

And Tru...I don't snipe that much in Halo, though I used to be good at it. I love the double-Spiker, though. Or an Assault-rifle/Battle rifle combo.

Use grenades, lots of grenades. Since most people drop grenades when they die, you'll never run out. If you're getting chased around a corner, throw one against the wall so it is waiting around the corner for your chaser.

If you have short range weapons (like shotguns, dual anythings) stay in short range areas.

If you have a Medium to long gun (Carbines (which is the best gun ever) or Battle Rifles) stay in areas where you have an unobstructed view out.

In Halo, unless you are defending something, never stop moving.

If your shields are down, take cover and let them recharge if you haven't hit the enemy yet.

If possible, stick with your team. Maybe not right next to them, but a few steps behind will allow you to help mop up anyone that comes.

Melee is easy for me since I use a high sensitivity and Green thumb layout (Zoom becomes the B button and melee is now click the aim stick). It makes it 10x easier to smack people since I don't remove my hand to hit some punk.
