Announcing expansion packs for a game is the worst announcement of all time? Interesting, seeing how virtually every single RTS out there has expansion packs. i guess you cried about those too right?

No pricing has been announced so don't say they screwed up until you actually know something because as of now, you don't know **** about the pricing, nobody does.

What's even funnier is you are bitching about MORE CONTENT in a game.

WTF is 'weak' about these expansions being just like EVERY OTHER expansion for EVERY OTHER RTS game out there?

As far as pricing goes, it's a PC game so it will be at most $50 and the expansions will be $20 or $30 just like they've always been. Also, seeing how you're getting a FULL games worth with each expansion, there is no way you can argue that it's not a good deal. if they price them like full new games, then I'll be complaining right there with you, but until I know the facts, I'm not complaining.

Yes, be a pirate and give the gaming industry a big **** you.

I guess you wouldn't get mad is someone stole something from you.
if you would've done all your homework instead of just some you would've seen that I said my comp can't run SC II so it wouldn't matter if I bought it or illegally downloaded it. When I did have a comp that could play games, I purchased, individually, Starcraft and Brood War, then later on my laptop paid for the digital download of the SC and BW bundle from the Blizzard official store as well.

And I think you're a bit misguided here. These are not expansions. They are separate games that make it so you can only play through the campaign of one race (in order to play through all three campaigns you must purchase all three games separately, which will likely be in the $180-$200 range). This is upsetting to us here because the first SC had all three campaigns included in the same game.

The way you reacted to our posts leads me to believe you have some connection to Blizzard or the game itself and took everything personally. And if you're not in anyway connected then I don't understand lashing out at us like that. Take a deep breath man, it'll be OK.

yeah, when I saw this the other day I went and watched the first two as well. It's looking very nice, all the new units look to be implemented well and the levels they showed looked pretty cool as well. Maybe it's just me but it looks like they made it so zerg would be strong in late game as well as early game. Protoss look the same, slow and strong, but I like how they added the dash or sprint feature to the zealots.

Unfortunately there's no way my laptop will run this. I want to get it so bad when it comes out but there's no way I'm buying a new comp just for one game when my current one works fine for everything else I need.

Blizzard said themselves they are expansions. Yes they have enough content to be full games, but blizzard said they are expansions along the lines of brood war.

Nobody knows what the price will be, don't try to speculate. PC games NEVER, other than collectors editions, start out at over $50 so your $180-200 for all 3 is not only unfounded, but also ridiculous as it would be almost unprecedented.

I also don't get why you're complaining about having to buy all three to play through all three compaigns. You had to buy brood war to play through the brood war campaigns which is no different than this other than the fact that it's one race per expansion. If that's the problem you have, sorry, that was blizzards choice.

I hate ignorance, which a number of people were displaying. However I react to any posts made, you'll get over it and I will always react strongly when someone mentions piracy.

IIRC, Star Craft was about $40 and BW was $20.

With this, you're looking at $150 instead of $60.

I'm not paying $150 for a single game. If they announce that the 2nd and 3rd games will be $30 each, I may buy them. Otherwise, I'll download them and buy the final game to play online.

Stan, if piracy emits that much emotion in you, then you probably need to start caring about something else. Blizzard will be fine with one fewer Stan.

Stop acting like I'm someone else, I don't have a ****ing clue who Stan is.

Again, it's not $150 for a single game. It's 3 games worth of content. It's the equivalent of you buying Halo 1, 2, and 3 and the crying about having to pay $50, $50, and $60 for a single game.

Also, where and why do you think I'm emitting a lot of emotion? I think thieves are low lifes, and you just said you were going to steal them if they weren't priced right for you. No emotion, just what I believe.

I agree with you - pirating is BS. Go work for a few hours if you want the game, it's not that hard.

Very heated arguement. Too think I bumped a thread from two months ago

Here are the first two battle reports:

These can also be found on the starcraft 2 website.

Wage war across the galaxy with three unique and powerful races. StarCraft II is a real-time strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment for the PC and Mac.

You can download them (xvid) and I think the quality will be better than streaming them.

Take a look at this alpha image of the original Starcraft. LOL.

Just spoke with one of the writers for Starcraft the other day. Seems like he really cares about story and tried to put as much into it as he could for an RTS. Hope it came out well.

you spoke with one of the writers, and this is all you give us?? I hope it came out well and I say that without even talking to one of the writers, LOL.

on a more serious note I was curious if it's possible to play SC1 online with a friend against two CPUs in a skirmish, or like 3 humans vs. 3 CPUs? I ask because I would love to play some 2v2 and 3v3 games but I'm not nearly good enough, right now at least, to attempt to play online. If anybody knows, the answer is much appreciated.

                              Yes, you can. Two options.

Set up a game (assuming you can host) that is either melee or top vs bottom.

If it's melee, just set all other players to 'computer' (or leave them open if you don't want anybody to occupy that spot) and they'll automatically be on the same team.

If it's top vs bottom, just set the other teams players to 'computer'.
